Great Iced Tea Maker

This is a great iced tea maker! Fits perfectly in my fridge door, which is exactly what I needed. I do wish the cup for the steeper itself were a little taller to hold it a bit better, but it still works fine. It's also a great size, and it's very easy to use, too! I like that the top is so secure and is easy to open. I also loved that I was able to get it in pink!

So easy

Makes truly delicious cold brew tea. Never lets a leaf through. Never bitter, even if you forget to take it out of the fridge and get the filter out lol, which I have done more than once. I have used this with both black and oolong looseleaf and both are delicious.

Home made iced tea is the best!

I received this as a gift - and one of the best gifts I've ever received. I pour in hot water to brew the tea, add some sugar while hot, and the 2 quart is a good size to store in the fridge. The container still looks like it just came out of the package. Sooo much better than packaged iced tea from the store.

Perfect and Easy to Use

I’m a fan!!!!! This pitcher s so convenient for making and storing ice tea. It’s easy clean, simple to use and locks securely so I can lay it in its side. It is simple to “brew” and I can make at my own intensity. The inside mesh screen is also easy clean …. I have made this purchase based on the iced coffee brewer and now have two of those … iced coffee or tea anyone?

Good pitcher, could use more colors

This pitcher is leak-proof as advertised. I've had it for over a year, though admittedly I only use it for a few weeks out of the year when it's hot out. I wish Art of Tea carried more colors though. On Takeya's website there are many options. This would help when I want to make one herbal and one caffeine batch and tell them apart.

You'll Love This Tea Maker

This little iced tea maker is so convenient for when you want a cold glass of iced tea. I've used it every day since I got it. The tea tastes wonderful. It is so easy to make and now I always have fresh cold iced tea on hand. I use the smaller tea bags as directed, let it sit overnight and have at least 3 very LARGE doubled walled glasses of iced tea ready to drink the next day.

Stylish product, minor flaws

The flash chill pitcher is an excellent product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves drinking iced tea, so I will list its pros first and then it's cons.

Really a brilliant design

I now have more of these bottles than I would like to admit. They are all at least the flash chill so hot liquids can go into all of them (without damage) if the lids are switched. However they have their own purpose. Coffee, water, tea, and fun / mixed drinks. One recommendation, on the bottle the type or color of the lid, to better keep up with which is which. Love the spill proof and easy carry lid.

The Perfect Iced Tea Pitcher

I'm so glad I bought this, it's perfect. I use it to cold brew tea, and the tea basket is really big so the tea can expand a lot. I love how all the pieces screw together, and you can screw in the basket, or take it off once you're done brewing and still seal the lid on. The little cup thing it comes with is a nice bonus, so you have a place to set the tea basket when it's not in the pitcher. The lid seal is airtight so you don't get any fridge smells tainting the tea, but it's still super easy to pour. There are holes on both sides when you twist the lid up, so air can come in one side while tea is poured through the other.

Its an iced tea pitcher. Period.

Came on time and as advertised. My only (minor) complaint is it is a little messy when pouring - but if you remove the top completely to pour, its fine. Not the endo of the world. The best part of buying this was dealing with them directly. Id like to do less business as possible with @mazon. I believe in supporting the local guy first.

VERY happy!

This is the second iced tea maker that I’ve purchased. Got this one for a friend’s bday since I love mine so much. I ordered “rasberry” color, and was accidentally sent a shade of red. When I emailed customer service, they expedited a new rasberry top to me. Great customer service! LOVE that the products are made here in the USA! Two other great features are that the 2qt fits in the door of our fridge...and you can pour hot boiling water in the pitcher and it doesn’t affect it whatsoever. Highly recommend!

Worth every penny and then some

This is the best ice tea maker/pitcher ever! Iced tea is my "coffee", and I drink it daily. This pitcher is so handy, obviously designed with input from ice tea drinkers. I make it with bags of my favorite mango tea, pouring boiling hot water into the pitcher, then adding the steeping filter and bags to brew. After about ten minutes, I remove the tea and filer, pour in cold water to fill, and voila! Fabulous fresh tea. The tea lasts for three to four days in the fridge, due to the airtight seal, the pitcher cleans up great with no staining, and it fits easily in the door of my fridge without taking up too much space, The filter is fine enough you could easily use loose tea as well. I've tried all sorts of pitchers - glass, Bodum, Teavana, and this is the only one that I've kept. Worth every penny! Enjoy!

I love this!

I love this iced tea pitcher in so many ways! I love the ease of making tea from cold water - just put the bags or leaves into the steeper thing, screw on the top, and leave it in the fridge for a few hours. I also just like the feel of the handle, and being able to shake it. Finally, it's a great size for my refrigerator. (Other ones have been just too tall, and I don't love putting a pitcher on its side, though it says you can.) We got the raspberry color. I think I’m going to get another one, too, without the steeper – so I can have two different teas. (We love tea in this house.)

Delicious tea every time

My best friend bought me one of these for Christmas a few years ago. It sat around until I no longer had a roommate that ruined all my nice things. Now I make iced tea for my partner weekly. I use loose leaf tea in a compostable tea bag because I’m afraid the mesh will be tricky to clean. I bought a second one so we can have decaf and caffeinated tea on hand at all times. I love that it came with the stand for the filter included; my first one did not. The stand is a lifesaver for storage between brews.

Amazing, but tall for my refrigerator

I bought the 2qt flash chill tea maker for my husband, who used to make ice tea every day using a small mason jar. He would have to wait to cool down before being able to add ice. With the chill feature its amazing to be able to steep the tea in the pitcher and add ice immediately. I really like the size, it's the perfect size for when guests are over. However it is tall and it will only fit in the door of my refrigerator. Overall we are very happy with the pitcher.

Love my 2-qt pitcher!

I love this pitcher. This is my second purchase of the same pitcher and I use it daily! It is easy to use and makes the best tea. I especially appreciate that it is airtight so that the tea stays fresh. You know how awful tea can taste after it has set in the fridge overnight. Terrible! But with this airtight container it can last much, much longer. Everyone compliments me on my tea. Here in the South, good sweet tea is no small thing! Thank you, Takeya!

Our 5th Takeya Iced Tea Maker!

We've been using the Takeya iced tea makers for years, and this is our 5th one (to replace an older one that had finally broken down from all the use). We love the painless way it makes iced tea and have several different ones in the refrigerator at once to provide an assortment of iced tea options.

Perfect for quick iced tea

I've had this pitcher for almost a year and I still love it. I never brew with ice; I put in about 3 tablespoons of tea and fill up the pitcher (2qt version), put it in the fridge, and it's done in 2-4 hours (depending on the type of tea).

Great concept, but overpriced.

For reference, I bought this a couple of months ago, and I still use it on a weekly basis. I'm mainly disappointed in the value. I wish the handle were a solid cylinder rather than a half cylinder. This would allow for better hand comfort. It would also feel more durable and less like a cheap piece of plastic just waiting to break. The other qualm I have is it sometimes drips down the side of the pitcher when pouring. I have to tilt it just right to keep from making a mess. Other than that, it is a super convenient way to make cold brew tea. I just feel like a plastic pitcher belongs more in the $20 price range rather than $30.

Excellent product

I own several and came back for another. I keep one going all the time at home and at the office. Keep one in the cooler whenever we are at the beach or lake. I prefer fresh leaves tea and this is so easy. Tea goes in. Water goes in to steep and then once ready can add ice or put in frig. Tighten the top and no leaking at all. I have glass ones from another company and they are not handy at all. Lid is not tight, and one little hang and they break. This one is perfect for all my tea adventures.
