Will not buy again

Did not work as well as expected for the price. My son gave me a Hyper Tough heater that costs around $32 that seems to work better. Ended up returning this heater.

I love my Heat Storm heater. It is very efficient and powerful getting my bedroom very warm fast with minutes. This is the BEST electric portable heater on the planet.

I bought this heater for a very large room with an open beam roof and it is too small and not strong enough to heat this type of room. It seems like it would be a very nice heater for a small room.

I bought this to use as primary heating in my bedroom, and I used it for the first time last night. It did just fine. It kept my room toasty for the duration of my sleep. Right now I'm using it in my living room which is bigger than my bedroom, just to see how well it might work out here. I'm not complaining. I live in an apartment that has very poor insulation and the windows leak terribly, so yes, it does run all the time, so it may not save me on electricity, which is another reason I bought it. We have window units here and they are very expensive on electricity. They never turn off either - they run all the time. Overall I like the look of the product, the fact that it can be easily moved, and that it does the job I bought it for. I would recommend this product to others.

Does a great job. Gets warm very quickly. I don’t quite understand the timer situation but I haven’t needed to use it. Very light so it’s easy to move with just one hand.

Great little heater

Really like this heater. Light weight makes it easier for moving around. Great that it has a carry handle too. Since air pull vents are on the side you can have it closer to wall and not block them.

this heater REALLY WORKS. I own a 3 story, 5 bedroom home and this space heater heats up the entire first floor. Its a little super star heater! totally recommend!

Quality, Durability, and Longevity...

I now have five Heat Storm portable heaters that I've purchased over the past few years. As far as I am concerned, these are the best heaters on the market. They will heat a room quickly, quitely, and maintain the tempreture you set it on. Heat Storm is the only portable heater I will ever purchase now and in the future...

Don't accidentally throw away the legs!

We're very happy with this purchase. It's a bit smaller in size than we had thought but it is perfect for our daughter's bedroom (143sq) and very quiet. However, we did think the legs were missing and almost threw them away unknowingly. They legs are inset on the back of the styrofoam protecting the heater and covered by a thin piece of cardboard. Fortunately we found them when my 6yo started playing with the styrofoam. SO THE LEGS ARE PROBABLY NOT MISSING.

Instructions are hard follow & not user friendly.

I like the size and shape of this unit, low to the ground. Very unlikely to tip over. It doesn't make a lot of noise. It was well packaged. What I dislike is that its instructions are very difficult to follow and it is difficult to use the control panel. I have had it for two weeks and am still mystified about how it changes temperatures without my input. It has locked and also turned off without my input. I frequently have to unplug it to opt for a factory reset.

Trash

I ordered two of these in Jan 2021. It's Jan 2022, just a year later. And they're both already worn out. One doesn't generate any heat at all anymore; and the other no longer functions above the 72 degree fahrenheit setting. Please don't waste your money.

Would definitely buy again

I live in a mobile home, and don't like to turn on our main heater until we get snow. My livingroom is the coldest room in the house, but since getting the heat storm portable space heater, the livingroom is now the warmest. I absolutely love the child lovk feature that keeps my granddaughter from adjusting it. It's very quiet and works better than I anticipated! My son is jealous and wants one of his own now.

Heat Storm With No Wind

After hanging it on the wall and plugging it in, it was a defected unit. The display would not operate properly, and when the fan motor was on it smelled of burning plastic ramping up and down. Returned unit to store. Reordered same unit, hung on wall and worked properly, but on high speed it dosen't blow like a storm should, it does manage to warm the area up, but just takes longer then a real storm with a high winds, so I wouldn't call it a Heat Storm

Subzero temps were no match for this machine!

Living in northern Illinois during a polar vortex, my apartment building's boiler couldn't get the temp above 60. I plugged this "toaster" in and my room temp raised about 1 degree every 30 minutes. My 900 sq foot place was warm again!

Works, but poor QC

Arrived and the touch screen doesn't work, but only comes on if I tilt it. Turns out that the touch screen connection was loose so I had to open it to push in the connection. The remote control works, but I already see corrosion on part of the metal contact that touches the battery. Cheaply made, get what you pay for.

This unit is much lighter than I expected, making it super portable from room to room. The thermostat takes some getting used to, as it aims to bring the temperature up slightly above the set point and then shuts off until the ambient room temperature settles a little below that temperature before turning on again. The fan is effective in gently spreading the heat around, making the overall room feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend.

Love this heater!

I needed a heater for our family room. The reviews were amazing even though it was a name I had never heard before. Because it’s infrared, the humidity is not removed from the air! So much healthier! Because the casing does not get hot, it’s easier to find a spot to place it! It’s not reall noisy! Thank you Heat Source and Lowe’s!

Oh, and our cat LOVES it!

We first bought a HeatStorm Mojave in the winter of 2015-2016. We have been very happy with it. It heats almost our whole townhouse, we just leave the bathroom heater on upstairs. We may need to replace that this year because it can no longer go on the High setting (the thermostat gets confused) but we have already gotten so much enjoyment out of it. Basically, when we got the heat storm our energy bill stayed the same, but we were finally WARM! Whereas we could put the baseboard up as high as possible and never were comfortable. Oh, and our cat LOVES it!
