[Rewarded Review] Very easy light to install to use with many applications

• This light is easy to install in a 2-1/4” or 2” diameter hole. Why the two different hole sizes? Well, out of the box the light appears to be one piece with an electrical pigtail. Although the specs stated that the light had a cast aluminum housing but the cylindrical body sleeve was clearly plastic. And, when I looked at the instructions, dimensions were provided for two pieces. After a closer inspection, I discovered that the 1/8” thick plastic outer shell slides off the aluminum housing of the light. If the cable end of the fixture will be accessible, the plastic housing is probably not required. If the cable end will be inaccessible,, for example buried, the plastic outer shell will provide protection for the cable exiting the bottom of the fixture. In either case, it is easy to install. I recommend that a test hole be made in a piece of scrap to make sure the fit is snug.

[Rewarded Review] Very solid, well made landscape light that performs remarkably well.

Very solid, well made landscape light that performs remarkably well. The can is made of thick aluminum that is rated to withstand over 2 tons of drive-over force. This is very important for our installation as we use this to light an address sign where there is certainty that lawn mowers will routinely run over it - no issues to date. Unlike many larger well lights, this mounts flush to the surface, which we really liked. The unit is well designed as well, with an ability to use 12 or 24 volts of either AC or DC voltage, making it compatible with most landscape transformers. this makes adding to an existing string very easy. The installation of this is a breeze. The unit is quite small compared to most well lights, so digging is minimal. We installed ours in a small gravel area we purpose built for this light ti be buried in. The entire project, including removing the sod for the gravel bed, took just over an hour. We connected a transformer behind our address sign and ran the power wires to the light directly in the gravel. The light was also buried in the gravel with the lens level with the gravel surface. Because we were installing this very close to the address sign, we needed good light dispersion and this unit delivered. It lights up our address marker beautifully. The supplied cord was long enough to reach our transformer without splicing in a connection, so we were lucky there. The price point is very compelling as well. We're really pleased with this unit's size, value, performance and ease of installation. We definitely recommend it.

[Rewarded Review] Commercial-grade Build Quality

This landscape light is highlighting a tree-shaped crepe myrtle bush in my front yard. It was easy to install. While I did not use the outer sleeve to dig the hole, it was easy to use a hand shovel for that purpose. It is installed in heavy clay. The external wiring is heavy duty and is terminated with soldered leads. No press-on clips are provided. This is a commercial grade light that you attach to the main wiring run with wire nuts and waterproofing material. The light features a focusing lens design for highlighting a plant and it works well. My photos show the sleeve partially removed at two distances, the light on during daytime and the light on at night highlighting the tree-form bush.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful tree at night!

This light makes a statement by highlighting the beauty of my large tree near the corner of my yard. This light was added to my low voltage system with a run of cable, wire connections, and a small hole. While the efforts are higher than a typical path light, the outcome is really nice at night! The light is bright and the build is high quality. One thing to look out for is that this will need splice and wire ties or customer supplied line clips like I was accustomed to with my other lights.

[Rewarded Review] Inground LED Landscape Light

The Armacost Lighting White Inground Well LED Landscape Light is a very nice light to show off any of your outdoor spaces you would like to highlight for beauty or to light a walkway. We have tested it inside as we are still planting our summer flowers we want to highlight. As luck would have it we had a transformer that works with it. If you don't have one, you will need to purchase one. It appears to be durable. Another nice feature is that they are dimmable. Being constructed of aluminum makes them low maintenance and energy efficient. When placed in an inground area they can handle a weight of up to 4400 pounds. Measuring height is 3.75 inches ~ width 2.563 inches and wire length of 3.25 feet. Weight of approximately 0.75 pounds. Watt Equivalence is 4.50. I would recommend this product and plan to purchase a few more. Hope my review is helpful.

[Rewarded Review] Nice Inground Well LED Landscape Light that does a super job of lighting a tree or something else from below

Nice Inground Well LED Landscape Light that does a super job of lighting a tree or something else from below. This is a nice size to "plant" for lighting and is easy to adjust where you want to shoot the light based on the hole angle you put it in. It is well made and comes with a reasonable length cord for connecting but I was surprised that it didn't come with one of the low voltage wire tap clips for attaching to the power wire. It was sure luck I had an extra connector from a bag I needed on replacing another clip that went bad on something else. The light lit right up when I turned the power on as you will see in the pictures when it got darker.

[Rewarded Review] Great Quality Light!

This Armacost inground landscaping light is beautiful. It's very nice quality, heavy and well made and should last a long, long time. The cord is also very heavy duty and durable. You can buy an Armacost power supply for it or add it into your existing low voltage line with a connector clamp. I am really getting into plants and flowers lately and this light is perfect to highlight them at night besides lighting your way in the dark. It was very easy to add to my low voltage line and I could see in the future, replacing all of the above ground lights with these inground lights. They are just beautiful and they are subtle but give off plenty of light. Installation is very easy and takes only minutes. Digging the hard clay dirt was the hardest part for me! It really looks beautiful at night and I can't wait for the red and orange flowers above it to blossom. It will really make them look pretty. Plus this light is by the end of the driveway so when I walk around from my car, the area is lit for me. This is a really nice light and I absolutely love it! I definitely recommend highly!

[Rewarded Review] Excellent quality, particularly given the price

I wanted to add a few additional lights to my landscape lighting. I chose this light as I could easily wire it into my existing system and it would provide significant light. I’m really impressed with the quality of the light itself, the body of the light is metal and not cheap plastic. Which I have found to be rare in other lights in this price range. When you pick it up, you can feel the quality. Overall, I’m pleased and will likely pick up a couple more.

[Rewarded Review] Very bright in-ground landscape light

Over the years we keep adding to our outdoor lighting. We saw the armacost inground well light at homedepot and knew it would be perfect as a path light for a darker side of our yard. Thankfully we already had a transformer and a connection close by and were able to easily run the low voltage wire over to the spot. It’s very bright and the 3000k color temperature gives off a nice white color that matches our other lighting. The unit seems self-contained to keep water out but it does not appear that you can change out the bulbs should one fail. I do plan to add a couple more to our area to give it a consistent look.

[Rewarded Review] excellent quality, LED technology which reduces operating cost, perfect addition to any system

All of my landscape lights are "well" lights. I bury them directly into the ground and haven't had any problems for years. Since the advent of LED technology it has significantly reduced the wattage per light and for the entire system which means lower electric bills, less voltage drop and smaller transformers. All this is a saving. I estimate my nine well lights cost about 60 cents/month to power and are on an average of 6 hours/night. I have quite a few Armacoast products. This landscape well light is of excellent quality, much better than my other lights. The housing is sold and the attachment wire is approximately 3 feet long, the wire gauge is better than most, I'm guessing around 18 gauge. A longer lead wire means I can move it around as the landscape matures, etc. At 4.5 watts and 250 lumens it fits right in with the rest of my lights. Personally I like that it doesn't have a cheap wire connector. This light and the connection are buried so a traditional connection will fail. I use grease tubes (with strain relief) for all of my underground connections. Some have been buried for years and no problem. It's important not to pierce the main wire casing or expose it to moisture. I use the grease nuts only if it's an above ground connection. Anything buried goes in a grease tube. This light is rated IP67 which is what all my lights are, so I know it will stand up to being buried and exposed to rain/irrigation. Overall, this is an excellent light. It feels durable and should last a long time.
