Comfy but HUGE!

These are great quality and very comfortable. They are a nice material and return to their shape after each use. However….they are MUCH MUCH bigger than expected. These are adult size and would work best in maybe a finished basement. They are way too big for our house as we were planning for them to be in our kids rooms and for them to bring them downstairs for movie nights. They are like giant boulders that we can barely fit through the stairwell! However, they are great quality and if our setup was different I would love them!

much bigger n better than expected

My chunky preteen wanted a bean bag. I didn't want some dinky, low filled thing, so looked around.

Great purchase!

It is called a bean bag chair, but it is not. It is filled with memory foam and is not quite as easily form changing. The memory foam is nice too - it is just not a bean bag chair unless you also buy beans to fill it.

Not the same

I bought 2 of these bean bags years ago and they are quite large and have held up to my kids jumping on them almost every day. My other ones have a double zipper so no foam pieces come out. This one only has one zipper and is noticably smaller. Still large enough but the one zipper makes me wonder if it will hold up to all the jumping. The grey is the one I just purchased. The blue I got about 3 years ago. They clearly have changed the quality and upped the price.

Not a bean bag

This item comes in a square box but beware when you open it! This item is filled with some kind of lumpy stuffing that you are instruced to break apart by ruffing it up. It then expans over the next three days and is so huge that I feared that I would not be able to take it out of the room. This item is also heavy. It is very hard to return also because you can never get it to fit in your car to take back to the store. This is not what I was expecting at all.

Perfect!

These chairs are exactly what we needed for our game room! I’ve added a pic of my 9 year old for size reference (he is 4’6” tall). The chairs arrive with the air sucked out and ready to be rocked and rolled all over the house to break up the foam chunks. I absolutely LOVE that the filled it with memory foam chunks rather than the traditional “bean” filling. If they ever end up busting I won’t need to worry about that crazy styrofoam mess! The zipper cover DOES come off, in theory, but only with a lot of effort as it has a double zipper construction. That is another plus in my book as the kids can’t “accidentally” decide to explore the guts of the chairs. Color is as advertised and honestly, they are so comfortable and soft! I am 5’1” and can also sit comfortably on them.

Dishonest description

I received one of these sacks (6) for a fathers day gift. I built my own mattress using poly, memory (wifes side), and latex (my side) foam layers. I have also purchased 3 shredded memory foam pillows (all different brands). When I opened the package I new something was of. It did not immediately begin to expand like every other memory foam product I have purchased. I broke apart the crispy pieces inside in homes that that would improve the situation. It did not. It felt nothing like memory foam. I had a suspicion that it was instead filled with cheap poly foam. I unzipped both of the zippers and what do you know. Poly foam. I now have a flat, limp, uncomfortable poly foam bean bag. If you want video proof lookup my review on the site that has a smile on their packages. It has a picture of the sad bean bag and a video of the non-memory foam piece I removed. The username that the review is under is jaydub1977. I am hoping that Sofa Sac uses a third party manufacturer that just sent them a bad batch rather than the company purposely misleading customers. I plan to leave a review on every site that sells this product. I am hoping that they will replace the product I received with one actually filled with memory foam. Id they do I will update this review.

Super comfy lounging experience!

Even though this chair has a slightly higher price, its quality remains uncompromised. Once you settle into it, you wouldn't feel like getting off of it, which does not mean it is not easy to get out unlike some of the other bean bags around which are like sink holes. The shredded memory foam filling provides a great deal of comfort. Just make sure that the foam is properly broken in by massaging the foam within the cover. The fabric is soft and comfortable, but not too delicate. The removable cover makes it super easy to clean. You can just put the cover in the washing machine and voila it is as good as a new bean bag! The size of this chair is great to lounge in multiple positions, you can sit comfortably and use it for gaming and watching television, you can lie down, snuggle and read a book. It is easy to move around the house and you can use it in different rooms. It can be used by people of all sizes. I really like the blue color which would really complement the other furniture in my room. I absolutely love this bean bag chair and would consider it a perfect addition to your home furniture!
