Sturdy yet Untrustworthy
Very quick to assemble and for the most part sturdy, however once shoes are placed, DO NOT trust the handles to lift it. They come right off. I’m thinking of super gluing it together or some sort and I wish it had a removable platform for each shelf. I had to use my own ribbed plastic covering which I used on my cupboards as well. It’ll be easier to clean like that for the fall/winter season. The pan I have at the bottom of my pictures is NOT included.
No thrills shoe rack.
This shoe rack does the job, not the most sturdiest of contraptions. If I'm not mistaken it probably comes from the same factory as a wardrobe we once had that would fall apart if you put too much inside. Also don't expect it to be on any antique roadshow 2120 edition, it will long be in land fill by then.Putting my green hat on, I'd say too much plastic bags usage for the parts, and a plastic carry handle on the box, really? For those days when you want to take it away with you on holiday perhaps!?
Sturdy but lightweight
Fit perfectly in the space I wanted it. I have a L shaped cupboard space and the rack was the diameter of the part of the L facing the door which was satisfying. It is also of a height where it fits lots of shoes but there was still clearance for the coats hanging above it. The poles fit VERY snug in the connectors requiring mor enforce than the portable wardrobes on Amazon but that s better than having too loose a fit and it falling apart. This could easily be modular and mixed and matched with another shoe rack or possible one of those afore e roomed portable wardrobes.
Awkward and tough on the hands to put together but does the job
I bought this after getting new staircarpet and its easy to put together, took arou d 10 mins but i would advise using a little hand towel or flannel to turn and push the parts together or it can hurt the hands. Its pretty spacious and does th3 job and doesnt look too bad
Happy with our new shoe racks
Bought two of these to organise our ever increasing collection of shoes. Arrived quickly and on time. Simple instruction leaflet (we had a race assembling one each), and it s simply a case of slotting in the various plastic tubes into place. There are many of this type of shoe rack for sale on Amazon, mostly supplied from China, I chose probably one of the cheapest as there was a discount voucher available at the time, and it had decent reviews. If you re looking for a display in hallway type of rack, it s not the most elegant , but ours are in the bottom of a wardrobe and under stairs cupboard, and for that they re great. You can fit 12 pairs of shoes on, and you can put 2 or more units together to make a taller or wider rack.Tip-After assembling take it onto a hard floor to square it up by pressing down on each side to make sure all the tubes have been located fully.
I was going
I was going between 3 and 4 stars, obviously ended up going with 4 simply because this was only $20. Pros: VERY easy to assemble. No screws or anything. Took me 5 minutes. Looks nice, a lot of space in between tiers. Many shoes racks won¡¯t fit my booties unless they are tilted, this one does. You can add/remove tiers as needed which is great. All black is neat looking. Cons: some of my poles were scratched and the connectors (which all face out) all have marks on them (see pictures). Also it would be nice if the poles on each tier were a tiny bit smaller. They way they are set up the shoes have to sit far back or very close to the front or your heels will fall between the spaces. Overall this is a great shoe rack. Can mold to your needs and looks nice. For $20 it is not bad at all. I¡¯ll probably buy another set to add more tiers as I get more shoes!
This shoe rack
This shoe rack was very simple to put together and within maybe 5 minutes I had it completely put together! I will say it¡¯s a little flimsier then I would like, but so far has held up great! I put this in my 7yr olds room and it fit perfectly into his closet. I love that its slim enough it doesn¡¯t take up a whole lot of room widthwise! The shoe rack however holds 6 of his shoes on each row! For us this is awesome as it holds almost all his shoes! Another great thing about it being 2 rows is I can separate his home shoes from his school shoes. The racks are two plastic pieces with plastic bars holding them together! Also this means no hardware required! Overal I am happy with this other then it being a little flimsy.I did receive this Free in exchange for my honest review. This review is my honest opinion on the product. I also have no relationship with the seller nor was asked or promised any star rating.
Very nice shoe
Very nice shoe rack if you're looking for something basic and not fancy. Extremely easy to assemble right out of the box; it fits together and ready to use literally within 10 minutes after opening the box. My GF tells me it may be less suited for a woman as it is not especially good for shoes with heels. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is I feel like it may be just a little overpriced for such a basic put together unit. Otherwise, pleased with purchase and it does the job.
This shoe rack
This shoe rack by songmics is a 2 tier shoerack. It is made of iron poles and plastic connectors. It was ver simple to put together. Alol the pieces just snap together. No tools were needed. It holds about 10 pairs of standard size Shoes. If lacing kids or toddler shoes you may be able to fit more. You can display high heel shoes without having to worry about them tipping over.I will be placing this shoe rack in my nephews room. He has so many shoes just thrown around in his room. This keeps all his shoes organized and looking neat. As soon as I put it together he immediately when and gathered up some shoes and placed them on the rack. This rack is durable and sturdy. Wish it was a bit bigger but I love it and his room never looked so nice.I received this for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I was not compensated for this review.
Easy and flexible system
Very easy to assemble in less than 30 mins. I bought two units for 8 shelves total but only used 5. I took the longer top shelf handles and put those on the bottom so my first shelf could be higher and accommodate my boots. Some rows I can fit four shoes and others three depending on shoe type. I wear a men¡¯s size 11. One problem is that the shelf end pieces are plastic, and after inserting the long shelf rods, I tapped them in with a rubber hammer. Unfortunately the plastic is thin, the rods are sharp and if you use too much force, the rod goes right through the plastic. So hammer very lightly! Otherwise, I¡¯m very pleased with the product.

Excellent product. Plastic
Excellent product. Plastic parts were hard molded.ot flimsy feeling..ice metal tubes. Super customizable. Building it was intuitive when referencing the picture on Amazon. Great for eeking out every bit of spare space in weird shaped & small living situations. I ordered two units and used about 1.5 of them. My only complaint is that the instant you skipped building one shelf to make a tall shelf, it became a very TALL shelf which wasted space. And the smaller shelf didn't fit my short boots without slightly compressing them between shelves and that creases the boot's leather. I kinda hacked a solution to this by making a half shelf which one pair of shoes could sit on over the toes of the boots.
My first worry
My first worry with anything that.eeds assembly is how hard the assembly is! In this case, the concepts to assemble it were extremely simple---you really didn't even.eed instructions. However, actually doing what you.eeded to do was awkward. You put poles in holes on one end, and then had to attach another end, and once one hole was in place, it always seemed another would pop out. Eventually I figured out a few strategies, and it was a bit easier. I did find once I stacked up the shelves, I.eeded to tap on the ends of each layer with a mallet lightly, to push things together enough so they would stay firmly in place. Once everything was assembled, which took me about 40 minutes, you are rewarded with a tall stack of racks! You could store a LOT of shoes on it! I'm using it partly for shoes and partly for craft supplies, and it freed up a lot of space in my bedroom. It's amazing how much shelving came out of a fairly small, light box! The material is light, which is.ice. It's.ot super high quality material, but it will last a good while. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the rack, and I can recommend it, as long as you are.ot overly easily frustrated with assembly issues!.
I like that
I like that you can adjust the configuration of this shelving unit to pretty suit your.eeds. I went with the shorter, 5 tier but wider version. The tall 10 shelf version just wouldn't fit in my closet well. Putting it together took only 15-20 minutes and instructions aren't difficult to follow. This is more sturdy then I thought it would be and holds 4 to 5 pairs of shoes per shelf. It depends on how you position them, size of your shoes ect. There was more distance between shelves than I was expecting,. Overall, for quick shelving this is pretty great..o idea on price point though.
I got this
I got this for my daughter who wanted a shoe rack for in her closet. I wasn't give measurements so it is much taller than thought -- a little more than 5.5 feet tall. It doesn't fit in her closet due to the clothes rod, but it is.ice enough it can sit in her corner. The finish is a matte black and is very attractive. She was able to put it together on her won (she is 13) in about 20 minutes. Everything you.eed to assemble it is included, as well as straps to attach it to the wall if you prefer. The rack, due to being pieced together and so tall, is.ot incredibly sturdy. It does rock a bit and I think if it were overloaded it wouldn't hold. The sides are plastic, but it is hard and solid plastic with a matte finish so it doesn't jump out at you. Currently there isn't a price on this but I think it is worth recommending.
This shoe rack
This shoe rack ended up working wonderfully but, does take up quite a bit of space. My initial reaction after building this unit was that it is much taller than expected (stands at almost 6 feet top to bottom) and it takes up more wall space in my closet than expected although it did end up being a space saver on my floor. The construction is fairly lightweight and was relatively easy to put together. As a.ote when putting it together, ensure to press down the sides as it will end up wobbling and unbalanced if you don¡¯t. The unit does come with wall a mounting feature but, I did.ot use it and it stands well on its own. Overall, a decent shoe rack. I would recommend this shoe rack but with the.ote that it does take up quite a bit of space.
Frankly, this was
Frankly, this was a pain to put together, though I don¡¯t know how they could have made it much easier. Each shelf (there are ten) has four metal rods that have to be inserted into two plastic end pieces. These are tight fits and take some pressure to get them all the way in. That is.ecessary, too. I developed a system and they all were finally assembled. Then each of the shelves is attached to another with another four metal rods that.eed inserted and seated in both shelves. Finally, on top there are two end stops made of four uprights and two crossbars. When assembled and a few more adjustments were made it stood quite securely on a tile floor and even on carpet. They even included a wall anchor to keep it from falling over when close to a wall. Final verdict? There was more distance between shelves than I was expecting. It is sturdier than I was expecting. This will be a welcome addition.ot to a closet for such a mundane use as storing shoes and stuff but to my board game room where I always (always!).eed more shelf space.
The Songmics 10-shelf
The Songmics 10-shelf shoe rack comes packed in a plain cardboard box. There's about 82 hollow metal tubes of varying sizes, 20 plastic pieces that connect the tubes together, and a few other misc pieces. To assemble it is just sticking tubes in to the plastic pieces - 4 long ones on the bottom, 4 shorter ones on the corners to attach to the shelf above it. Assembling takes about 15 minutes and is a little tedious but.ot bad. I rated it 3 stars for assembly because I found it a little cumbersome to connect the ends of the shelves to the tubes, but wasn't bad. I could see someone.eeding help with it depending on their dexterity and strength (to push the pieces together), but I did it fine on my own. One of the.ice things about this shoe rack is how flexible it is. You can stack it high if you want, or have several smaller shelves. This thing is pretty significant if you are going to use it as 1 rack, so check the measurements. For me, I am using it as 3 smaller shoe racks (2 with 3 shelves, 1 with 4 shelves). When you think of it like that, it's really a good bargain for the price. Aside from being slightly cumbersome to assemble, the shelves are metal tubes so if you have dirty or wet shoes, stuff will fall to the ones below on the shelves. I also don't find that it doesn't look particularly luxurious up close, so it's probably best suited to a closet. I would have given it a higher rating if.ot for these items. This shoe rack is a good bargain and has a lot of flexibility. I feel comfortable recommending it.
Exactly what I wanted
This shoe rack is exactly what I wanted. My husband and I have some shoes that always stay in the garage, such as hiking boots and lawn mowing sneakers, which were in a messy heap on the floor. The rack arrived in two days and I put it together in about 10 minutes, no tools required. It accommodates both my husband¡¯s size 13 shoes and boots and my size 6.5¡¯s just fine. It¡¯s fairly sturdy, though the connectors are made of plastic. Still, for about $20 I¡¯m very happy with it. When putting it together, I recommend putting the bracket on the floor and using light pressure to push the metal rods into the holes for maximum stability. I¡¯d definitely buy another if needed.
