easy to put together

This item was said to be metal but it is plastic. Very disappointed!

Economical and Functional

For the price it does the job and is surprisingly stable. It is very light so I was able to move it around. But it took a while to put together. Hard for me but easy for husband.

Good product-BAD directions

The shoe rack is what I expected. It looks good and is sized right for two pairs of shoes in each compartment. The bars are thin metal tubes and the connectors are plastic. Putting it together was not hard, but it took about 90 minutes. The directions are not good with only pictures, but it is really like a giant erector set where the long poles go horizontal and the short ones vertical. The midsized poles make the two end stops on the top shelf. I made all of the long shelves and all of the the short shelves first. Then I used the short rods to connect the layers starting from the bottom. The most important part is making sure each metal piece is completely seated in the plastic connector as you go. Once it was all together, I had to find two or three spots where the metal poles were not completely seated in the plastic connectors. For the price and time it took to set it up, this shoe rack solved my too many shoes, too little space problem in a positive way.

Says metal, but is plastic/metal , so when I bought I liked the metal idea, when I received how disappointed that was not described the right honest way
