Extremely Disappointed

I bought TWO griddle stands; one for myself and the other as a Christmas gift for my daughter, both for our new 17" griddles. I just put mine together and I'm shocked that it's a Black Stone product! It's the poorest design- the legs SHOULD have holes with a pin or something so that you can clearly see that they're all set at the same height. What it does have are the faintest of indented lines as a marker and a twist knob that is supposedly going to stop the leg from collapsing. Well it didn't; not only did I have to use a level and keep adjusting the heights, but one leg won't stop collapsing and the knob is tightened as far as it will go. There's NO WAY I'd trust it to hold my griddle, nor would I ever give it to my daughter now and am having to search internet for a better generic option. I expected much more from a Black Stone accessory and am waiting on customer service to reply about being refunded and how to ship them back. Poor design...I won't even go into how the work station table was bent too. Save your money!!

Functional Stand

I’m glad I purchased this stand. Its adjustable legs allow me to keep the griddle level on in level surfaces. Although it’s not heavy duty, it is adequate for its purpose. Being lightweight, makes it easy to fold up and relocate. The only thing I might add, would be an additional shelf on the other side to allow for more space for cooking items. Not sure if something like that is available now or not.

Took much too long to get.

We ordered this over three weeks ago and finally received it. When FedEx showed a picture that it was delivered, about a week ago, it was not a picture of our home. Had to spend a bunch of time trying to get ahold of the right people at FedEx to inform them of the situation. Tried to get in touch with BBQ Generals but, it was a Saturday and no one was there. Not even the chat room assistant, who was no help. Finally, got a call back from FedEx saying it was delivered to the wrong house. Almost another week before we received it. The box had been open and plastic banding was added around the original carton to get it to us. Since camping season is over for us, being seniors, we still haven’t tried to open to see if there are any missing parts, since it had been banded and not re-taped. I called BBQ Generals the following Monday and explained what had happened. They were very nice, apologized, and sent us some griddle seasoning for the mishap.

Have been looking for one of these Blackstone stands for some time. Finally found one at Ace Hdwe.

The legs are not sturdy.

I would not buy this product. The legs are wobbly and not sturdy. I would not trust this to hold up during a cook.

The knobs for the legs are cheap and break easily

Mine arrived with a broken knob for the leg adjustment. I super glued it back on but it has since broken again and another knob has broken as well. The table itself is nice along with the side shelf, but for the price they should include a pair of vice-grip pliers for the broken knobs.

This table works better than the last one.

Not what I would expect from a Blackstone product.

This table is not as sturdy as you would expect it to be considering the weight it is meant to hold. It would also be good if it had wheels.

Faulty design to "lock" leg height in place

Terrible design for leg extension. They use a nut and thumb screw to create friction to hold the legs at a set height. The issue is the nut is poorly welded and will snap off eventually.

Nice stand for my flat top. I use mine with "Blackstone" to the back because the propane tank is on the shelf side which just doesn't make sense. Came with a broken leg adjustment knob. Adjustable legs seem to be far smaller than they need to be so its a bit wobbly because of the poor tolerances.

This Griddle Stand Needs a Makeover

So, I finally got my hands on the Blackstone Griddle Stand. I was pumped to up my outdoor cooking game, but this thing is more drama than a reality TV show. First off, the packaging was like a UFC match, as one of the leg knobs was knocked out cold somewhere during shipping. When the legs are folded in, the knob sits directly onto the stand's thin edge and if the plastic hits it hard (during shipping/storage) the plastic knob will break easily. Luckily, Blackstone's customer service saved the day and had a replacement part out in a few days. The real party foul of this griddle stand is the legs. Trying to ensure the legs are adjusted securely is like herding cats. One minute they're good, the next they're causing chaos. One of the four nuts used to tighten the extension was stripped, which made turning it extremely difficult. The other three could be turned with your fingers, but the one stripped nut required all of my hand grip strength. At one point I think I squeezed so hard, that I swear I heard the knob crying for help. And let's talk about safety. These extendable legs ended up being as reliable as jelly on a hot day. The one stripped screw was not tight (I did my best) and the stand buckled shortly after adding the grill. A simple spring-loaded pin lock similar to the one that allows the legs to pivot on the stand would have been a lifesaver. I've had the whole thing buckle on me twice, which makes this stand about as stable as a Jenga tower in a hurricane. To top it off, I found folding this thing can be a real workout. You need to be sure to not store the extensions fully into the leg receptacle or you will not be able to fold the leg at the stand. Overall, this stand has potential, but it needs a serious upgrade. The stand works, but the over quality does not match the value in my opinion.
