Good beginner easel

I'm a beginner, so this was a perfect easel at the best price point for me.

Lightweight but sturdy. Easy to put together but written instructions might help others. Love the brush and palette holder. I just fold it flat and put it against a wall when not in use, but it can be folded to a straight line for easy storage.

Useful easel with h very poor instructions.

It is a potable and stable easel. My big complaint is there is virtually no directions in how to assemble the easel. Also, I have trouble setting up the easel when I use the portable function.

Assembly Instructions are Worthless - Customer Service?

The easel actuall works pretty well. But the assembly instructions are basically worthless and Jerry's customer service is definitely lacking. Luckily, my husband is pretty good at figuring out how things fit together mechanically. As such, he was able to put the easel together (with quite a bit of effort). Actually, there are no instructions.......... simply a series of 11 small diagrams, none of which show sufficient detail to allow a reasonable person to get a good idea of what they are supposed to depict. Oh, and there appears to be a part missing. The list says there are supposed to be 7 "adjustment knob" pieces. And there are 7 of them. But that left us without any way to attach one of the (unidentified) small extensions to the "bottom clamp (shelf)". And he never did figure out where the "long carriage bolt" was or what it was supposed to be used for.

I bought eight of these easels to use to teach drawing and painting courses. Their are lightweight and sturdy and can be used with canvasses or drawing boards.

Perfect lightweight easel

I love this easel. It wasn't hard at all to put together, but you might want to read through comments for helpful tips. When put together, it weighs nothing to move, holds paper well, is just what I wanted for drawing!

perfect for my needs

This is a light weight, easy to move, and sturdy easel. I paint in my dining room and this easel does not take up much room and is easy to move when needed.

I really like this aluminum studio easel for its simplicity. This weekend I needed to clear my studio for my daughters return for the weekend. I have two wooden easels and this aluminum. The aluminum one was so easy to breakdown and move - light and sturdy. The other two were not so, both heavy, clunky, etc.

Needs better instructions

The product is great...easy to use once you figure out how it goes together. One would think it was easy, but NO video explains that the knob/screws that come attached to two bars do not go together. The bars are for your pallet. Also, the cross-bar with the center notch bent the first time using. I'm afraid to bend it back for fear of breaking. All that said, It folds easily and props up in the corner nicely.

IF NEEDED I WOULD DEFINATELY PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE

This easel is lightweight as promised, sturdy and utilitarian. The assembly instructions are VERY DIFFICULT to understand, so give yourself patience when assembling.
