Do not order

I ordered this firepit and received it missing the legs. The handle looked kind of worn and used. Unfortunately, I started building before I realized the legs were missing. In doing so I realized the grates were misshapen and so instead of a circle they formed a weird oblong oval, which would not fit very well into the round base anyhow. Needless to say I returned.

Horrible design

Do not buy. Used it one time for a small fire and the plastic wheels melted. Horrible design.

Good product for price.

Took some time to put together, but happy with the end product. Good price, good size, puts off nice heat, and like that we can wheel to where we want it.

On my third one... my three reasons for buying it again:

1) the price is right, 2) I can reuse the ashes from my burning yard sticks for my garden & compost and, 3) at the end of the evening I can remove the screen (carefully of course) in order to place the solid metal lid over the embers to smother the fire. This is the only fire pit I've found that provides a "smother" option. note: this firepit will fall apart in 6 to 8 years.

It was a little cumbersome to assemble. My previous experience was a model made by the Weber BBQ company...that one was way sturdier and way better built. This one seems like it will fall apart every time I move it. Since Weber no longer makes this, I guess it's what is available now. We will see if it holds up (but I doubt it). My last one lasted 10 years with literally hundreds of afternoons and evenings enjoying it.

Not Designed To Be Used Regularly

We bought ours in March 2023. We use it once a week depending on the weather. Ours only came with on securing nut and bolt to hold the fire screen to the base. The wooden handle on the lid split after the second use but did not break off. By the end of April the screws that hold the handles on were completely rusted and one broke. It is now September and the wire cage has completely rusted through on two of four side panels and they are curling outwards.

Didn’t even last 2 years

Lid rotted out loosing the handle, the mess screens rotted away the only thing made good it the base still looks new

Poorly-engineered garbage

The instructions are incomplete. Some of the hardware was packed incorrectly, e.g., a lock nut was labeled as a regular nut and vice-versa. The screen is not round once assembled and doesn’t sit flush in the bowl. The assembly uses washers that are too big for their intended applications. The handles don’t sit flush against the lid or the bowl. DO NOT BUY!

Easy to assemble and the wheels allow for the fireplace to be moved around the patio. Easy to clean and the guard around the fire keeps sparks to a minimum.

Fire sense fire pit

I have bought many of these over the years. The design provides maximum heat. Safe to use. Durable. Only design flaw I see is that if the unit is not covered, water will seep through the bottom and rust out the supporting cross bars, causing collapse. So strongly recommend a cover.

Outstanding

I looked for months to find a portable fire pit that I had years ago but couldn't find the right one. I gave this one a shot and it is just as good if not better than my previous one. Very happy I took the risk on thsi one!

So far so good, only use it once. The only thing I wish is that there were a bigger size available.

firepit

I have owned 8 of these units over the years. I use them at home and at our summer home on Cape Cod. I have also given them as house warming gifts to my kids when they buy a new home.

Portability

Bought this one years ago and it lasted. I ditched the screen that surrounds it. I use the top to put the fire out when it’s time to go to bed. wheels never melted. If your going to burn a fire that big or hot, use a fire pit! Buying my 2nd one this weekend
