Classy gate

A very sturdy well made gate. The spring hinges are very strong, so it needs an extra hand to initially install them on the frame. It closes as described. Good value.

Hinges broke immediately

Self-closing feature on the hinges both broke right away. Hinges still work, so still a good gate.

Looks great and easy to install

It is a perfect fit and looks great. Was easy to install, however the spring feature it a bust. One of the springs popped during installation! If the spring feature is your main purpose for purchasing, don’t bother.

A subtle medieval look.

Overall the gate is a nice size and weight. Was basically the only one I could find that was pre-manufactured for a small opening. The finish in the welded joints could have been better. It is pretty inconsistent through the piece but it’s something I can live with.

Good buy. Just missing a latch finger for one of the gates we purchased. I process now to get that piece.

Sturdy gate

Super easy install with self close hinges that are height adjustable along with height adjust latching.

Gate is made well and the hardware provided was of high quality. Installation was simple and is an attractive gate that serves its purpose.

High quality gate, hinges are sub par

There is no option to order the larger size of gate on the Rona website. Just the smaller one. Would be nice to be able to purchase the wider gate. I bought two gates and on one of them the self close feature of the hinges has already failed after only a few weeks of use. The gates themselves are very sturdy and well built. High quality for the price.

It’s a good gate. Good quality but the description says that it’s for 36” opening and 36” it’s a little to big. 35” opening its perfect.

I had to add a gate to prevent an elderly client falling down a stairwell. I picked this gate because it looks good.

Beautiful GATE

Replaced a wooden old gate for this iron one and we love it!! I couldn't figure how to put on and email for help, which was given to me right away. The gentleman sent me a picture on how it looked up and that helped me so much. Of course, you are talking about a 63-year-old woman doing this herself. lol

Great Value

Very pleased with the quality and ease of installation with this Nuvo iron gate. The gate looks great and we have received numerous compliments from neighbours. We waited months for a custom made gate which never materialized, so finding this gate was a real bonus. Heartily recommend this product.

Bought this gate this morning, spent half an hour or so on the install, and it looks great! I needed to oil the hinges as they were quite squeaky. Please read the review by Hammerin Hank as it will help you immeasurably. He is totally right that the instructions are deficient. Follow his tips for a relatively easy installation. Thanks Hank!
