Easy to clean and the cats love it

Pioneer water fountian

This is number 2 for my Lily! The only reason I had to buy one after 2 years is because I couldn't just order the white plastic housing the holds the water pump. Great deal and Lily loves it, couldn't be happier.

A necessity

Cats can’t really see Stillwater and when it’s got a little bubbling at the top and a slide of water and a little pool, it’s a triple threat. They love it. You just have to be diligent about keeping it clean and changing the filter, which is a breeze.

Simple construction

The bowl is made of ceramic which I like better than plastic or steel. It also only has a few parts so it's easy to clean. The only downside is the power cord. It's not very long, and it has a quick disconnect but it plugs directly into the power adapter instead of in the middle of the cord. So it has to be fairly close to an outlet, and you have to have access to the outlet in order to disconnect it to clean the bowl. But overall I like it a lot.

Easy

Easy to put together so it will be easy to clean. One of my Boys kept his eyes on it the first time I fed them Supper, it was Funny! All 4 love it now.

The noise cancels out the benefits

We wanted to try and entice our cat to drink more water and we’ve all heard the “moving water encourages your cat to drink more” thing. Unfortunately, the noise of the fountain was too much of a compromise for our cat and he wouldn’t even approach it unless the unit was unplugged. It worked as directed but was simply too loud. Additionally, the actual unit itself was not made particularly well and the top piece did not align correctly with the bottom so the littlest nudge would cause the top piece to fall into the water in the bottom bowl and un suction the motor from the bottom which would make for a big mess. It “worked” as directed just didn’t function as well as the displays made it seem.

Musiałam zwrócić. Uważajcie.

Sleek design

Ease of set-up; cats drawn to the running water; quality of dish and fountain. Running water was noisy for the location I have to use. Safety of access to power.

Quit working in less than 3 months

My cats liked it but even with regular cleaning, it stopped working

NOISY!

Not only is this fountain very noisy but the way the top piece sits on the bowl is a poor fit and it takes very little to dislodge it and then you've got water all over the floor. Even sitting on carpet the fountain also made the ceramic pieces rattle. Drove me crazy. Replaced it within 3 months.

Makes a mess!

Our cats treat it like a wading pool, standing in the water, scooting the water out all over the floor with their paws. They think it’s a great new toy. We think it’s a hugely mistaken purchase.

Not what I was expecting

I was expecting a water fountain that was aesthetically pleasing, sturdy, but still filtered the water and keep it clean. This is the dirtiest fountain, everything lands in it, it has to be constantly cleaned. The filter comes loose all the time and floats all over. It sounds like a cruise ship when the water runs out. I would not recommend it. We have been using it 4 months and I already want to buy something else because I can’t stand it anymore.

Easy to assemble and basically silent

I think it took me longer to get in the packaging than it did to actually put the fountain together! Once I got it together and filled with water, we have found that it's almost completely silent as long as it has enough water in it to keep the pump going (and even then it barely makes a buzz). Our cat is getting used to it, but the quietness of it is a huge help in that regard.

I found this drinking fountain to be a bit of hassle. The top piece was hard to keep in lined up. Not my favorite. Ended up using old fountain body and used the pump from this unit. Kittys happy.

The best one I’ve tried

I prefer the ceramic over the metal or plastic. My kitty likes it and I’ve repurchased this 3 times in maybe 5 years. The suction cups on the bottom of the filter box eventually broke off so I had to buy a new one but overall holds up well!

Way too loud

Cat won't go near it because it is too loud. Raindrop version is not just shaped like a raindrop, it is setup to always be dripping. Maybe your cat doesn't care? Ours is afraid of it and its loud in our apartment.

Leaked

Happy enough with the fountain, though as others have said VERY heavy and top piece does not fit properly. Can live with that. It started leaking and I did not notice because I sit it on a place mat. Ruined a 1 ft square section of my floor. Who tests this stuff? NO one I am sure. No quality control.
