Should be recalled

I bought this toaster, as a replacement to our previous Zeillibg toaster which lasted almost 10 years. This one is a lemon. It never toasts evenly regardless of the setting selected, it’s either not toasted or burnt. There is also a crack on the plastic, as others have indicated.

Disappointed is what youll be if you spend your hard earned money on this toaster. It has one job and does it terrible.

Terrible toasting for this kind of money. Thought I would spend a little more to get better quality but this is a waste of money for the price. Cord comes out the front of toaster and is a pain in the you know what to route all the way back to the back of the toaster to keep away from little hands. Build quality is alright but not worth the price tag. Very disappointed in this toaster. I havent had a piece of toast that actually toasted evenly. Its either burnt on the edges or not done in the middle.

I had to return the first on I ordered, because it burnt the toast even on setting #1. This one is better. Still a lot of money for a toaster, but I wanted the warming rack too, so I sprung for it.

I love this toaster. Our old one wasn’t heating up properly to get a good toast on both sides of bread etc. I’ve owned many ZWILLING products so I’m familiar with the quality and longevity of them. Are you going to pay a bit more? Sure. However, you truly do get what you pay for.

I'm a kitchen gadget enthusiast and have used many kitchen electronic products. By far Zwilling Enfingy toaster is the best purchesed I have made. The elegant sleek design fits in every kitchen. The build quality is amazing and the toaster consistently delivers perfectly toasted bread with its advanced heating technology. Its efficient design allows for even toasting and quick heating, making breakfast preparation a breeze. There is no doubt in my mind that this product is excellent.

Terrific toaster

The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because my first toaster was defective. I had only had it for 3 weeks and the crumb tray wouldn't go back in when I removed it. However, this company was amazing and replaced it very quickly and smoothly. This toaster is so attractive and I really like the way it toasts my bread. I am so glad I made this purchase and Zwilling is a good company to work with.

Finally, I found the perfect toaster with the work

I have been searching for many months for something that I thought should be simple… A toaster where the bagel button worked…

I am hoping that this toaster will live a long time on our kitchen counter. It seems solid and well built. I find when I buy these long slot toasters they last for many years, I always spend about $120. The only flaw with this toaster is that it toasts very unevenly, the worst I have ever had. One side will be toasted and the other side can have almost no browning. It shouldn't be difficult to build a toaster that evenly toasts both sides of a piece of bread.

Poor Quality

We purchased this toaster exactly one year ago and now we have to return it. The handle no longer goes down, so the toaster is now useless. The handle is a thin, cheap piece of plastic, so I'm not surprised that it stopped working. Very poor design and very poor quality. This is the most we've ever spent on a toaster so it was a horrible waste of money. Really disappointed with Zwilling as they had a strong reputation for quality products.

Horrible and not worth the cost!

This is a horrible toaster. It's too new on the market to get the kinks worked out. The toasting features don't work properly. I had to return the first one and the 2nd one was no better. I had to deal with Zwilling customer service on the second toaster and they are abysmal. I returned the 2nd toaster and was to get a gift card within 3-5 days. This was addressed in early January and still no sign of a gift card reimbursement. For the price you pay for this toaster, all features should be working properly. For example, if you set it to medium toasting, it doesn't toast enough. Next time when you set it to high, it's charred. Not worth the money!

Poor Functioning

This is one appliance that Zwilling needs to do much more work on. The toaster is dysfunctional. The heating elements don't toast evenly. The medium setting hardly toasted my bread, and when I tried another piece of bread on the higher setting, the toast was charred and still uneven. None of the other features work either, like the bagel setting. I had to return two of these toasters to Zwilling based on these defects and was to get a reimbursement credit within 3-5 days. It's now been a month of waiting and still no reimbursement, despite several calls and emails to customer service requesting the status of my reimbursement. Given the very high cost of this toaster, I expected much, much better from the Zwilling brand. What a disappointment. I won't buy another Zwilling product based on this experience.

Beautiful

This toaster is beautiful and it does a great job on the toast once you learn the dial and how dark or lite it is. I guess if I had any complaints it would be how long it is and the cord makes it difficult to hid. I am still working on that. I got this one for three reasons. The oversized slots that allow you to toast rye bread, for example. It also has a bagel button that our other one didn’t - I’m not too sure how well it works as I’ve only used it once. And the third and final reason I got this is for the name recognition.

Expensive, poor heat uniformity and burnt toast

This thing is HUGE. I thought it was a prank when I opened the box. It matches the rest of the zwilling kitchen items but seems to be of lower quality. The toaster lever mechanisms is grindy and often fails to engage when depressed.

Not worth $200 nor a Sale Price

For the Sur la Table listed retail price of $200 nor sale price, I would not recommend this toaster. 1) the toast level grey numbers on the silver dial are very small and blend into the dial color. 2) Odd how one presses the toaster level down, THEN selects "bagel" or "reheat"?seems backwards. 3) Most importantly, toast/bagels brown/crisps differently on the same numerical setting. And at level "3" toast is light and not very toasted and at level "4" toast is burned. At level "3 1/2" toast is fine, but bagels are not brown and crisp. I would not recommend this toaster.

Large, smart and underwhelming.

I'm a bit disappointed. I bake bread using a bread maker so wanted a long slot so that the bread would fit in sideways. However it still slightly sticks up so I have to swap the bread about. It doesn't toast evenly on each side, either. The crusts can burn but the toast is OK. It may be I need to get a better feel for the settings. The toaster is big and is quite smart looking but is expensive. I previously had a Kenwood long slot, which was considerably cheaper and the bread fitted better and produced nicer toast, I think. It also allowed you to inspect the toast without stopping the toasting process. Unfortunately I couldn't find a similar Kenwood this time. I'm not sure I would buy this one again.

Zwilling Enfinigy 2-Slot Long Toaster

This toaster prepares slices consistently, but differently for whole wheat square shaped bread and oblong shaped white sourdough bread . For oblong sourdough, if the dial is turned beyond 3, the edges become much darker and harder. At less than three it toasts but doesn't brown, and the edges are a uniform firmness with the center. I want to toast large sourdough slices so I will live with this. This toaster is designed exactly for this so I don't know why this feature isn't better. For whole wheat square, if the dial is at 3 it is perfectly and evenly brown, uniform texture. Less than three and it is only slightly browned and uniformly firm. Before my purchase, this is exactly what reviews had indicated as I researched extensively before buying. It would be nice if the toast would brown uniformly whether light or dark bread. I ate all my sourdough so I couldn't prepare a slice for this review, but you all get the idea. I do have a picture of square whole wheat toasted at #3 on the dial though. Hope this helps you decide.

A great long-slot toaster.

So far this has been a great toaster. I like to buy the large sourdough rounds and this fits the long slices perfectly. So far, the dials have given reliable results on how well I like everything toasted. Easy to clean and looks really nice. Keep in mind, it's not a true stainless steel but a stainless steel-look plastic. Still, done very well.

Horrible Customer Service

The toaster would not fire correctly on one side, so the toasting was uneven. Chef Supplies told me it cannot be returned once the product has been opened. I said it had to be opened and used to determine it was faulty! They told me to call the manufacturer. Really? There was no mention of making an exchange until some time after, to which I said, no thanks, I don't have any faith in their quality control and would like a refund. I checked to see if there was another toaster I wanted to exchange, but there was not. Do not purchase from these crooks. They do not stand behind the products they sell but rather blame the manufacturer for the products they choose to sell. There are many other businesses to buy from.

After being disappointed in replacing a brand that I liked because it couldn't toast both sides of a piece of bread evenly, I finally discovered Zwilling's long slot toaster. Perfectly even toasting on both sides in the same slot which is what it's supposed to do. I also like the variable toast setting so you can fine tune the degree of toasting. My only complaint is that the toaster setting is on the side and in my kitchen, it's a little hard to see if you don't have the right light. It would be nice if the setting knob lit up for the settings as it does on the side of the knob to let you know it's on. Otherwise, great. I also like the available attachments that let you warm/toast odd items like rolls and buns.

I just purchased this toaster after getting frustrated with other toasters that didn't cook evenly, took too long or to slow to toast or just didn't last an entire year. I've spent so much money in the past on throw away toasters. This time I went on a search and found this toaster. It is well worth the money and it does have a warranty. Seriously, a warranty...I had no idea?! The best part, It makes beautiful toast!!! Bagels perfect! I love the way it looks, very modern with clean lineds. I don't think I will ever buy another brand...I'm hooked!
