Looks good. Display is very easy to read. Measures weight quickly. Only gripe is that I wish the buttons were more responsive.

Not all the cells work

The upper right cell in the 10’s space is completely out on receipt. Or worth my effort to request a replacement.

Great scale. 0.1 gram precision great for coffee! 6 pound limit is only downside if you want to double for baking using weight. Might as well get a cheaper, less precise scale, with largery total weight for that. OXO really stands by there products and will replace in full for ANY problem even years later.

I like this scale very much with one major exception. I used it once a day to make pour over coffee, I’ve had the scale for just shy of a year and yet, have had to replace the batteries that came with 3 times. After having to replace batteries the first time, and longer before I thought they should need replacing, I’ve made sure that the scale is complete off when put away. I have many OXO products and have always been pleased with them, but four sets of new batteries in slightly less than a year just doesn’t seem right. Sign me Disappointed

Hoping it will last

This was not an inexpensive item. I was disappointed that it didn’t work properly. I ordered directly from OXO to avoid shipping problems. But it came in a big box with no other packing materials and it was bouncing around inside the box. A replacement was shipped free of charge and the new one does work, though it came packaged the exact same way. But I hate that a brand new product has to spend eternity in my local landfill. I would have preferred to ship it back. A waste.

Would not recommend. Poor battery life and UI design.

TL;DR - do not buy this scale! I can't believe it's being marketed to coffee people. It is flawed in its design.

Burns through batteries

I have had to replace the FOUR AAA batteries in this scale every seven weeks since I got it, using it twice a day and manually turning the scale off when I'm done. The scale itself is ok; it's easy to wipe off, but it doesn't seem particularly accurate (the weight changes by up to .5g when you shift the container on it). I was much happier with my old, cheapo scale in which I changed the batteries maybe once in many years.

Great little scale.

Quality, like all things OXO. Between the accuracy of the scale and the timer, it helps me to make consistently delicious coffee.

Abysmal Battery

The functionality of the scale is fine. However, for the price and the fact that it takes four AAA batteries at a time, it is ridiculous that the battery runs out after a month of use.

The worst scale!!! Can anyone please explain the useless timer? Aside for that, this is why this is the worst scale, my cheap scale and my cuisnart scale both match closely in their weight reading. This oxo scale is off by like 100 grams!? Am I missing something!? This was a replacement because the Oxo scale I originally bought the numbers were not coming in all the way. The #2 was partially missing as well as the other numbers. So they offered to replace it no problem, but now this scale is not giving me the correct weight readings. I am disappointed with Oxo! Usually they have great products, but this scale is the worst! I’ll stick with my unlit cheap scale and old cuisnart scale. Now I have 2 scales that I prob will end up throwing away. But I’m going to trouble shoot the replacement and see if maybe I am doing something wrong. Also the darn thing annoyingly comes on when it feels like it. The power bottom is way too sensitive. Anyway this was a waste of $ and time! Wish I could return the original faulty one, but that is not returnable! Anyway I don’t recommend this scale! Don’t waste you money or time. Best

Great scale, great service

This is my second Good Grips scale and it’s perfect. OXO recently replaced my old one due to a dead pixel in the display. It’s accurate, easy to use, and looks great.

Faulty scale--Does not hold or tare measurement correctly

We got a replacement scale because the original one after a few weeks started to go up in measurement on its own after using the tare function rendering it inaccurate and useless. The replacement started having the same issue immediately. I am not happy with how faulty this product is. I would hope the replacement would solve the issue instead of just adding to our problems.

Mostly good

I like this scale for pretty much everything. The only gripe is the lack of battery indicator. I’ll be in the middle of making coffee with it and it’ll clear the display to tell me the battery is low and then turns off. So whatever timer or weight you had on the scale at that moment is lost. Other than that it’s great.

Accurate, fast on, easy to use. Small enough to store away.

The design of this scale makes it easy to turn it on by accident, and so it runs itself out of batteries.

Gets the job done

I use this scale every day to make coffee in the morning using a chemex. It works well for me and I enjoy the fact that it has a built in timer.

Great product; very intuitive and helpful functionality and excellent to use for pourovers. Rubber top pad is very helpful if you're using this as a coffee scale or to weigh powders!
