My reget is I did not find this sooner. Making boiled eggs is safe since it does not require cooking on a conventional stove. With rapid a cooker you plug-in add water and within minutes you have perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs. I recommend soaking hot eggs in cool water for 7 minutes afterwards to completely cease internal cooking.

Greatest thing since sliced bread to have boiled eggs handy for salads and snacks or breakfast! Cooks exactly as it says and is so convenient and easy to wash. I picked the red for myself to see quickly in the pantry and even purchased a black one for my daughter as they do a lot of devilled eggs. I haven't tried the omelet pan yet, but it looks simple enough.

Super Easy

I'm always skeptical about gadgets being useful and easy to use. After a disasterous boil-over with a pan full of eggs on the stove being hardboiled, I thought I'd give this Rapid Egg Cooker a try. Let me tell you I'll never go back to the stove method again. It does a perfect job on hardboiling eggs and without dangerous and messy boilovers to clean up or scorched eggs to throw out and it's fast! All parts are easy to wash and the procedure for boiled eggs is so simple! I will be trying it for poached eggs soon and also omlettes for my husband and myself. I do appreciate the loud and insistent chime for when the eggs are done--many of these little appliances give one beep and that's it, but this Rapid Egg Cooker keeps ringing until you show and turn it off. This little cooker doesn't waste any space and is easy to store in my cabinet but still does 6 boiled eggs which is more than enough for us two. I give this 5 stars and a high recommendation if you like to make boiled eggs and don't have to feed an army (if you do, get the larger one from Dash). It would also be perfect for folks traveling in an RV because you don't have to light up the stove and it takes so little space to store.

Eggs Undercooked

I really like the convenience of this appliance. Possibly due to living at high altitude, the time it cooked for hard-boiled eggs was too short; they were medium-boiled. Also, the omelet was undercooked at the time it stopped ,and I needed to continue cooking. I will continue to experiment with what works, because it definitely is handy.

Hot plate keeps burning

I was excited when I purchased the Rapid Egg Cooker, I had watched many positive reviews. After the first use, I noticed water spots that didn’t want to come clean. After the second use, the area where the water spots first appeared was a little darker. Finally, after the third use, it was more burnt. I have not used anything but water in the hot plate.

Disappointed

It is not as efficient as I had hoped. My primary hope was that it would poach eggs. There is not an ability to poach and have the eggs cook the white without clear runny white and have a runny yolk as well. It cooks from one extreme to the other. Also the half of the hard boiled eggs still had a partially soft yolk which makes them unacceptable to make egg salad. I was disappointed.

Works Great!

Makes perfect soft-boiled eggs and is very easy to use. Only issue is that I think the markings on the side of the measuring cup are wrong. We first made 3 eggs using the soft-boiled markings on the side of the cup that said for 1-3 eggs, and they were way over done. On our second attempt, made 3 eggs using the soft-boiled markings on the side of the cup that said for 4-6 eggs, and they came out perfectly. Either the markings on the cup are reversed or the directions are not quite right. Now that we have the soft-boiled process working well, we are looking forward to trying the omelet and poach functions. Over all we are very pleased with the product.

Never owned an egg cooker before

I love this little appliance. The biggest reason besides the convenience of this gem, is the done tone. I wear hearing aids and have issues hearing tones. I can hear this fine tone clearly from another room. THANK YOU very much for that.

Cool Invention!

Ingenious device. Cooks 7 hard boiled eggs perfectly, cutting back on time & hassle of traditionally boiling them. These egg cookers use steam heat. After a brief prep set up, you set 'em & forget 'em. Device does the rest for you & shuts off automatically. Also poaches eggs and can make omelettes. Great device for the money.

No guess work!

Perfect peelable hard boiled eggs, have not used any other variations. I make egg salad often and it is a breeze with the Dash egg cooker. BTW, I bought mine because my Dad loves his, and he’s a very harsh critic when it comes to soft boiled eggs so that feature is also reliable.

This egg maker may be small but it is mighty! You can make eggs at least 3 ways - 5 if you’re ambitious. How adorable is this little egg cooker? Not just a pretty face but works exactly as described. Perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs. Easy to follow instructions. You don’t have to worry about loosing counter space for this little guy. So tiny! It’s perfect! No more guess work, no more timers. Just press the start button and relax until you hear the charming little jingle when it’s done. Highly recommend.

Works perfectly every time!

I was skeptical, but I was tired of getting different results when using the same steps to boil eggs. I was also hopeful that the eggs would peel easily, and not take half of the whites with the shell. It is so easy to make hard boiled eggs using this steamer! The eggs cook perfectly every time and the shells slide off. I haven't used it for any other type of egg dish, but for my need I couldn't be happier with the result.

Just got it, happy so far

I bought an "everyday egg cooker" from Macy's last year and it was just past warranty and the alarm wasn't working and I wasn't sure if it was working right. I'd been pretty happy with it, so I decided to just buy a new one. I bought the "rapid egg cooker", and so far it seems to be working well. It's so handy and makes cooking eggs so much easier, especially hard-boiled eggs!

The box it came in was beat up and was nervous it wasn’t going to work but thankfully works great! This little egg cooker is so cute and matches my Dash Rice Cooker. It works so fast and is so efficient. Really easy to use and the water gives details on how much to put in regards to how you like your eggs. I was surprised by the little tune it makes when the eggs are done. It has a cute jingle.

Read directions

It seems pretty simple and straightforward, but I would highly encourage people to read the user manual. My husband usually never reads manuals, but he did with this. Gives recipes and instructions on how to clean it. My husband loves eggs and now he can make all different kinds!!! Super excited about his Father’s Day rapid egg cooker

Time saving for perfect hard-boiled eggs

I've used it twice and it was so simple and clean up is next to none with easily peeled hard boiled eggs. Really saves time not having to boil water, and no cracked eggs. I left my eggs in the cooker for couple minutes after cooker/timer went off, put one in cold water and left the others in the cooker that was off. Perfection for a slightly more cooked yolk. I still have to try the omelet maker someday but all I have are cooked eggs ;)

Love the Rapid Egg Cooker!

I really like how the Rapid Egg Cooker makes eggs so easily, much easier than a pan or pot on the stove. The omelet dish makes egg - cellent omelets! Light and fluffy because they are cooked with steam, not direct heat and do not get hard from sitting in the pan. My husband loves the poached and soft egg cooking options. The hard boiled egg comes out perfect! Cook eggs the easy way with the Rapid Egg Cooker!

How have I lived without this my whole life?

I’m one of those people that can’t boil water let alone make a hard-boiled egg. I usually overcook them And I always have difficulties getting the shells off. The very first time I use this I had perfect hard-boiled eggs and the shells fell right off. I was amazed at how easy it was to use. I can’t wait to try to make other kinds of eggs in it. One of the best things I’ve purchased in a long time. I just wish I’d found it sooner!
