Misleading info on website and provided by customer service
Pretty disappointed and feel let down. I had an older version of the 552 dumbbells so called to ensure they would fit and work with this rack. Sure enough the stand comes with parts for the 552 and 590s but the stand is not compatible with the older version of the 552s. The website should be clear on this and customer service should be aware of this. The media rack is flimsy and a joke, the stand is not as sturdy as it should be. The installation video was great though!
This unit Compatible with Bowflex Selec...
This unit Compatible with Bowflex SelectTech 552, 560, and 1090 dumbbells. For use with your existing pair of dumbbells. The Media Rack Fits most tablets and smartphones, so you can access programs, training videos and more to focus on goals and leave the guesswork behind. I enjoy the Compact Construction : The ultra small footprint allows for placement even in small rooms. The Ergonamic Desin is important because it provides protection for your lower back.
[Rewarded Review] Steady. Solid. Compact.
The Bowflex SelectTech Stand has made a great addition to my workout room, providing a steady, solid and space-effecient workout resouce. Another great addition to the Bowflex stable.
552 Stand
I purchased this and the 552 dumb bells together. I had been using standard dumb bells and picking them up from the floor. I have been out of the "game" for quite a while so these bow flex products have helped me a lot. Being up off the ground helped take un-needed strain on my back. It also streamlined set-up. Thanks so much bow flex.
Din't fit dumbbell trays
Purchased these stands, they don't fit the dumbbell set I purchased from you (serial #100748SFE220804380). Was unexpectedly out of the country for a few months and just getting back to this problem. Pictures below. Tray that dumbbells sit in doesn't fit/line up with flat shelf on stand. It's too big. Seems like the right size shelf could be added to stand but I don't know. Seems sturdy and as advertised. Looking to purchase a bench but will hold off until this is resolved. Unfair rating...but cannot fairly assess.
This does the job, saves the back.
Definitely nice to have, as it saves me from having to adjust and pick up the weights from the floor. I don't use the phone/tablet stand due to the low height, but it could be useful if just streaming music. I have the 552 dumbbells, and wish this had a better way of attaching the weight bases rather than the straps. However, I was able to position them so the clip doesn't intefere with grabbing the dumbbells.
A must for the adjustable dumbbells
This product was easy to assemble and setup alongside the dumbbells. The rack allows for maximum use and versatility. This has the right height and size to allow for my set to be placed and stored, as well as, adjusted quickly to superset multiple exercises.
Maybe...?
I own many bowflex products and overall have been very satisfied. This experience was less than ideal.
Hard to put together correctly
I both love and hate this thing. I love how it looks and holds the weights. But I thought the setup would be the end of me. There are still some pieces (nuts/bolts) that aren't in. So, while I love using it, the stress of setting this up (mostly coming from terrible directions) makes the purchase probably not worth it.
Love it!
I originally decided not to purchase this stand when I bought the set of SelectTech weights for my home gym. That was a mistake! I ended up buying this stand 2 years later and have never looked back. The stand just brings a whole new type of enjoyment to using the weights. There's no bending down to the floor to grab or change weight. Its such a pleasure having them up off the floor, plus they just look nicer stored on the stand. If you have a set of SelectTech weights, don't sleep on this stand. Just buy it, you'll be glad you did.
[Rewarded Review] Great Stand, Best on Sale
This BowFlex - SelectTech Stand with Media Rack - Black was purchased as a gift for my spouse. We have had the 552 Dumbbells for years and love them but after lifting them off the floor over and over again we decided it was time to put them on a stand to save on floor space and protect our backs a bit more. The added media rack is perfect for our iPad Air and we use it when doing beach body workouts. One of the only cons with this stand is the straps that hold down the adjustable weight receptacle are not as sturdy as we would have liked. We ended up having one of the straps snap to where we could not tighten them. Luckily, Bowflex customer service is phenomenal! We reached out within an hour of the strap snapping while tightening down the weight assembly, and they had a replacement part for us in less than a few business days. They are a great company and have earned a loyal customer!
Helpful with heavier weights.
This was a good purchase. It really helps alleviate some lower back strain when lifting heavier weights for an exercise by allowing me to keep my back straighter. My only knock on it is I wish it were a tiny bit taller (or adjustable height) and that the dumbells were more parallel in their spacing.
Love having the stand
It's great not having to bend over to the floor every time I need to switch weights or rest between sets. My only issue with the stand is that the placement of the buckle on the strap that holds the base of the weights - it rubs my hand every time I get the dumbbell out of the base. I have started unbuckling it before I start working out, which defeats the purpose of the belt.
Stand will not be secure - Base of stand does not line up
DO NOT Buy this stand for the Bowflex 552 adjustable dumbells. The base plate of the ata d does not line up peoperlt with the dumbell holder base and you cannot secure the two plates safely. Bowflex says to use the flimsy straps which is a jome and downright dangerous! If you need a stand you may want to consider something else altogether…this product is a piece of junk
[Rewarded Review] Quality product
I purchased a few bowflex products for my home gym and have been extremely satisfied so far with all of them. This stand is very sturdy and easy to put together. I use it for the 90lb dumbbells. Its sleek, neet, and tucks away in the corner nicely.
[Rewarded Review] Pairs well with the 552s or the 1090s
Pairs perfectly with the 552 or the 1090. I have both on stands and love how much more ergnomical they make using the dumbbells. Pairs well with the look and pretty easy to put together. Very well built and sturdy. The tablet stand is kind of flimsy but it's only designed to holster a tablet. Love the product.
Sturdy and Easy to Assemble
The Dumbbell Stand is a must for storage and if you're lifting to work out while standing up.

Not a good fit for 1090 dumbbells
This product has potential. It's fairly easy to assemble. The product itself is sturdy. I'm fairly tall, so I would have liked the stand to be taller. It's is not adjustable, but that makes it less expensive and sturdier so that may be a good trade off. The tablet holder holds a tablet. What more can you say about that? My biggest problem is the straps. Only one type of the dumbbells compatible with this stand actually have bases that bolt directly to the stand. Mine are 1090s. I have to use a two inch webbing strap with bulky quick releases buckles to hold my bases down. (Picture a giant Fanny pack buckle or the clip on a bug out bag.) If the clip is actually tight enough to hold the base to the stand, it is directly in the path of my hand when I pick up the weights. Not a deal breaker but really annoying when I'm trying to change weights quickly to keep up with a workout program. My hands are the medium female variety. My son, and the reason I bought theses, has extra large man hands. He was so frustrated with the straps that I took them to an industrial seamstress to have them remade. She shortened them so the clips would no longer be right in the dent of the base that is supposed to give your hand room to comfortably pick up the dumbbells. We also upgraded the clips because other reviews have indicated they break. I would recommend to a friend if they fixed this problem.
