The Directions were not extremely helpful, just pictures of what to do. You can figure it out though. I did put the curved board on backwards and put a hole in the face which I then had to put a white sticker on after turned it around.. I also chipped a piece off with a nail being too close to the inside of the bookcase while attaching the backing. Overall, it is a nice headboard for a nice price. One she will probably have replaced when going into High school.

Easy assembly. Since bed has no headboard attachment hardware, used framing L brackets to secure to wall in one spot. Drilled a hole through both brackets for a mounting bolt. Mounted wall L bracket 1st; used a stud finder to locate a stud to screw into. Then positioned headboard on wall bracket, putting headboard bracket in place with loose fit of bolt. Marked headboard where L bracket will go. Pulled loose fit bolt and secured headboard L bracket to rear edge of top of headboard. Moved headboard back into place, inserted bolt through both L brackets and tightened. Used drywall screws to attach L brackets. This provided a headboard that doesn't wobble at all. Headboard would be very unstable without being mounted to wall. Bolt through L brackets provides easy removal of headboard if circumstances dictate (like painting the wall). See Attached picture.

I will never buy anything from South shore again . No way it will hold up.I paid 400dollars for a bed. After we put it together my daughter said on it and it fell apart.She only weight 145 pds. The stuff to put bed together is a joke. We did not use bed. I gave it to someone who could put braces and glue on and fix a new top. Never Never Again
