Garage grade cabinet

Easy to put together. The finish is more designed for a garage. Not smooth or easy to wash. Great, sturdy hanging bracket. No back on the cabinet. I'd have gone with a specific kitchen grade cabinet for my bathroom if I'd have known.

Mildly beat up from shipping but since these are shop cabinets it didn't really matter if the particle board was chipped here and there. Cheap overall cabinets and won't last the long haul. If I was going to do it again, I'd go to a construction salvage store and buy salvaged kitchen cabinets that were plywood and paint them.

READ THE SPECS BEFORE YOU BUY

The main description says "Wood" so I thought they were a pretty good deal. I only checked their size and they fit perfectly. However, if you take a deeper dive into the specs, you find they are "MDF and Particle Board", which I'd been trying to avoid. We kept them because they're in the laundry room so it's not a huge deal, but be aware.

Damaged During Fabrication Not Shipping

The box came looking good however a cabinet door came damaged. So it is obvious that is how they packed it for delivery (damaged in original fabrication). I haven't been able to find out who or how to complain about this but it is annoying to have a big gouge in the front of the door panels. Otherwise, it went together easily and works fine. Note this does not have soft close hinges but they didn't advertise that so not a big deal.

These are reasonably-priced garage cabinets that meet expectations of a reasonably-priced cabinet. Cabinets are unassembled but are very well packed to avoid damage. Assembly and installation was easy. Hinges were easy to adjust.

This cabinet fits perfectly over the toilet or anyplace you might need extra storage space....and who doesn't? Mine holds a ton of extra TP, facial tissue, soap, towels and everything else that doesn't fit under a sink or in other limited bathroom storage. It's unobtrusive and will fit in with just about any decor. Perfect!

[Rewarded Review] Simple assembly and mounting

This is a nice particle-board product; assembly was easy and straightforward with the clear manual, and most amazingly the doors hung correctly immediately; no adjustments needed. I was able to mount these on the wall myself, without assistance, with the simply rail and hook design. I was applying them to an open stud wall (no drywall), so I just mounted some 36" x 24" plywood on the studs first so that stored items wouldn't fall out the back. Really happy with the product and the added space.

Needed a wall-mounted cabinet for laundry area. Prepac cabinet was right size. Easily assembled and has full back covering. Predrlled holes in mounting strips to coincide with stud locations. Used a separate strip of melamine mounted to studs to establish mounted height and provide extra support. Worked perfectly and looks great. Cabinet doors are self closing but added some silicone bumpers to soften slam.

Good but not without flaws

We used two of these cabinets in our garage. We set them up side by side. For a garage, they seem to be perfect, however I would be hesitant on putting them anywhere that would get heavy use.

cabinets are just “ok”

The product arrived well boxed and undamaged. All the parts were present. Instructions were pretty easy to follow, especially compared to a Swedish big box flat pack manufacturer. This product Is a standard cheap flat pack melamine Mdf cabinet. I repurposed my cabinet to house my sprinkler pump so I don’t expect a lot of use. However I planned to use these cabinets throughout my garage but I’m not now after building this one. I can foresee the hardware screws working their way out after repeated opening and closing of doors. The edges are sharp and easy to damage with The wear and tear a garage storage cabinet demands. They look and feel …..cheap. If you don’t expect alot of use then this might be right for you.

First off, I don't like the way that it looks from the side. It could have been designed so that there was no cut out on the side and you would just lower the cabinet on to the bracket instead of sliding it. Secondly, the heads of the bolts that are on the outside are black and not visible in the photo. They look terrible. The company should provide bolts with heads painted to match. It's really no big deal to do it.

Very Lrg Sturdy Cabinet and Easy to Hang

Great cabinets, love Prepac HangUps products. My first time doing any project of this kind. The cabinets are very easy to hang and definitely very sturdy. The 36" is a huge cabinet and because of the depth, holds bigger items or a ton of little things. We liked this cabinet so much we ended up going with 3 of these units as well as a smaller one by Prepac for over the work bench. Note: It took 3 people total to put up each cabinet. 2 people holding up the unit to see where we wanted it to hang visually and 1 person marking measurements on the wall. Beyond that, they go up easy because you are only having to secure the mounting bracket to wall... you don't have to have people holding the cabinet up while you fiddle with trying to screw it to the wall and keep it level like most other cabinets of this type. The mounting bracket can be cut down with a hacksaw it you don't want it to stick out the sides behind it. They provide quality heavy duty hinges and the doors are fully adjustable after the fact to get nice even lines. Finally we chose not to use the handles provided as we felt they were a bit to modern for a garage. We used one of their pre-drilled holes, made a template so they'd match, and drilled one of our own. All-in-all saved a ton of money redoing the garage our-self, quality product, would absolutely recommend these large 36" cabinets. (My small complaint: the smaller depth 3 door cabinet by Prepac that we also purchased and used in our picture does not have the easy bracket mounting system like these big 36" cabinets which was a total disappointment. My mistake for assuming that all Prepac cabinets would come with their signature easy mount wall bracket system.) Still... a good product.

Garage organization

I purchased 2 of these cabinets and they were the perfect addition to my garage. The mounting hardware is included and works perfectly. For my application, the shelves are loaded with everything from specialty automotive tools to home repair supplies. I mounted them over my work bench to create a nice work staion that includes under cabinet mounted LED lighting, a touchscreen bluetooth dvd/CD player with all speakers mounted on top. Coat hooks on the sides for hanging supplies and so on. These shelves more than serve their purpose for me and was worth the price paid. I would recommend this product for sure. It's perfect for the home garage and looks great.

The directions were RIGHT ON! I was able to put the track in place as directed, which is key to getting a perfect fit. Once the track was in place I assembled each of the 4 36" cases and was able to lift them onto the track (I'm 77 years old) by myself. Then I installed the doors and the shelves. Again, the directions takes you on the correct path to success. I had a 72 inch tall end cabinet to put on the end. After assembling the cab less the doors I was able with some struggle and ingenuity to get it into place by myself. I had 1/8 inch to spare. Tomorrow I'll put the doors on and the shelves and VOILA! a completed job. Good product!

I bought 3 24wx30hx12d and 3 36wx24hx16d and 2 30wx24hx16d to put in my office which was way too small and all the floor space was taken up with book shelves and equipment leaving no room to use my desks. So I needed some wall hung shelves that I could put up quick and without moving the cramped desks and equipment. So I installed these HangUps very quickly by installing the metal rail and hanging the selves one at a time without moving a single piece of furniture or equipment. I bought one 2x12 board 8 feet long and set it over my two floor book shelves spanning across one of my drafting tables to install the shelves on one wall and simply used a step ladder to install the HangUps on the other wall. And I did it all alone without any help. They also come in small flat easy to transport boxes. And I have some great flat sheets of styrofoam packing left over to use in making styrofoam models. I left the doors off all but one unit since I need to see what I have all the time any way. One negative: the 30wide units need a center vertical support as 30 inches is too long a span and the shelves visually sag. The 36w units do not sag because they have a center support at 18 inches.
