This chair seems very well-made (maybe only because it weighs about a million pounds). I assumed it would have all the standard ergonomic adjustments an office chair would have, but it doesn't. It's missing the seat tilt function, and the back rest doesn't come forward. So for me, a 5' tall woman, I basically feel like I'm leaning way back into the chair, with my knees barely clearing the front edge of the seat. If I want to sit straight up I can't sit all the way back in the chair. I have to scoot forward so that my back can barely touch the back rest. Sorry if I can't explain it well. Just be warned, if you're short this chair lacks the adjustments you will need.

This is easily a five star desk chair for at this price point. Built to last, from the fabric used, to the use of metals where appropriate, and the warranty is second to none from accounts I've read. This is my wife's chair which I've been using until my Steelcase Leap arrives. The HON Ignition compares well to higher priced office chairs because of the aforementioned build quality, as well as some features not even found on one-thousand dollar favorites like the Herman Miller Aeron. This model of the HON Ignition can lock the backrest in 3 positions; vertical and two recline positions. I leave the chair locked in the first recline position. Padding on this chair is thick, and very comfortable for all day sessions at the desk and HON's color choices are only equaled by Steelcase. Arm height is easily adjusted with one hand but the armrests don't adjust fore, aft or pivot. At 5'11" with a longer than average torso, this low back version is on the short side for me but the adjustable back height really helps. The mid-back height would be best for my size and it's great that HON offers this smaller chair, even though the Ignition is highly adjustable.

I bought this chair as a companion to my stand-up desk, so I don't sit in it for more than 2-3 hours per day. However, the chair is comfortable and lifts up pretty high. The only reason for 4 stars is because the lever to lift the chair works in the opposite direction of every other chair I've ever owned, and doesn't lock properly. Other than that, the chair is great.
