Sliding glass door handle.
The replacement handle for my sliding door worked perfect.
Measure twice
It’s good quality but the screws are to long and I had to purchase shorter screws.
It is junk
It is junk. Purchased on April 23rd and it broke on May 1st. Screws break very easily. Should have learned my lesson from the first two that I bought. They lasted a little longer but have bought 3 or 4 of them in the past year. No more.
Check your door width. Screws in this are short.
The screws were too short. They didn't stick out so that I could attach the other side.
Item should have extra screws
Handle is OK so far but some reviews claimed it broke after a while. I guess we'll see. It only had one set of screws unlike other units that I looked at. The screws were for a door that was a little thicker than mine and I had to add a couple washers so it didn't bottom out and strip the threads. The washers barely show because the screws are meant to countersink in the handle and I just prevented that which stopped them short around a quarter inch.
No mortise latch included
This is a solidly built piece of hardware but useless for my application. When I tried to install it, the handle did not accommodate the door's original mortise latch.
Good hand with some mods
Screws a bit long so it would not snug the handle onto the door tight. I added a small washer to each screw and it solved the problem. My pre-drilled holes on the door were smaller so I had to drill them bigger in order to fit this handle mount, too.
Look for the packages being opened.
The product was already opened and missing the latch.
Lasted under a month
In the last five years, we've gone through, I think, five of these handles, with each lasting increasingly less time. The last one we replaced about a week after Thanksgiving after the outside handle pulled right off the screws and stripped the threads. Now, less than a month later, this one did the same. Others have failed in various other ways: Inner handle snapped off, screws holding the wooden handle pulled out, etc. My boyfriend likes the look of this one, and we can usually buy it locally, but as our designated household handywoman, I'm done. It's a cheaply made piece of junk and I'm not replacing it again next month. Maybe it would work okay if your door is lightweight, but ours is heavy wood and thick glass from the 70s and it just can't handle it.
Good Fit
I was really surprised that this actually fit my patio door. I built my home back in 2002 and I was afraid that I would not be able to find a handle that would work but I did. Being able to replace a handle cost a lot less than replacing an entire patio door.
Very easy to install
We bought this to replace a broken slider door handle at a rental property. I was a little nervous, thinking it would be a big deal to replace. My fears quickly dissipated. The instructions were clear and it took about five minutes. Can be done by one person but goes more quickly and easily with two. Just make sure you measure the distance between the two screw holes, center to center, before you purchase.. If you get that right then you are good to go.
Not for all sliding doors
Was hoping this would work with our sliding door, but seems it might only fit specific models. I was going to return it, but I drilled a hole in it trying to make it work.
Replacement
Not as good as a total replacement but I have a dog door and it fit relatively well without the lock I had before.
Poor quality
Screws are thin and wouldn’t hold up to much use. Went and got a better quality one
Second one I've purchased . First one broke just like the original
Great handle!
This door handle was easy to install, sturdy, and looks great!
Looks great works great
I love this door handle! It works awesome and looks just like the photo!
Handle looks great in the sliding glass door
Nice look and accentuates the surrounding décor in the dining room
Sliding Door Handle
Had to fix a rental door that was jacked by renter. The door was pretty well warped, but the repair worked fine. Maybe a little off due to damage, but it really did the job. Locks down and everything.
Patio door handle
The item came pretty fast but when I opened up the box the package had been opened and the exterior handle was missing. I returned to local store with no issues.
