Back in Business

I'm an active gigging musician doing about 200 events a year. Replaced a failed JBL MK 2 EON, So far so good the EV app is much better than JBL's. I can't vouch for durability yet. Good versatility with a separate Aux mix and ability to send mix to another speaker.

Best sounding PA

This is the most comprehensive PA system out there. It's not the loudest but the best sounding. Each channel has an EQ, lows mids highs, compressor, 2 effects and monitor send. There is a separate volume control for the sub, a separate EQ and volume for each speaker, and a Master EQ. So no matter who uses it, they can dial in the perfect sound. You can store up to 5 settings on the app.

Great sounding. Easy to set up instantly usable

After 50 years of professional performance, I have finally found the perfect PA system. This thing takes about 10 minutes to set up and is ready to play. I love the fact that it was intuitive, Manuel was actually concise and understandable. I love that it has Bluetooth connectivity, especially since I use backup tracks. I can play my tracks from my iPad and it hasn't helped me to eliminate a bunch of cords that I no longer need. I love this thing.

Great compact mobile PA

Great sound from this speaker, the highs are crisp and the bass is present but not overwhelming. I've mainly tested this in a live environment with about 40 people in bar, sound was full and dynamic for acoustic guitar and vocal. Also works well for a dj setup. I think this speaker could handle 100 or more people without issue. The app leaves room for desire but once you figure it out it works fine.

After doing some research and comparing the EV 30m vs JBL and Bose column speakers, even QSC powered speakers. I found that I'm attracted to the EV 30m the most for it sound quality, it compactness and easy to use. The built in 8 channel digital mixer is a game changer. All of the sounds setting can be control using EV QuickSmart app. It is perfect for home karaoke without having to use an external mixer. Although I decided to use an external mixer, personal reference. Overall I'm very please with the purchase and planning on adding a second one.

Live it! But, Two things I'd change

Just arrived tiday; assembly took two minutes, fiddling with the mixer took a little more. Manual included, but it's not a training manual, it's the kind that makes sense after you've figured out how to use it. Still, capable and dies EVERYTHING I need! Took a moment to find all the colume settings - pretty darrn loud after I did.

OMG the sound is incredible

So I scaled down my house and life and live in a smaller house. The equipment of self powered JBL's was a bit much and I needed something more compact. I needed something with RCA jacks for my older karaoke CD player. I compared this to the Bose units side by side. Now while I have nothing at all against Bose, I mean they are Bose, this unit to my taste FAR exceeded the Bose sound. Plus it had the RCA jacks that the Bose unit did not and would have required adaptors. Not a fan of adaptors. I got it home, easy to put together, easy to use and the sound that comes out of this thing is off the chain clear and very loud if you want it to be, with no distortion. Fantastic unit!!!!!!

This thing kicks tail. I had a Bose L1S system which was nice, but too many different parts to put together. Too much time. I've got 2 of the 30M's and it still takes less effort to plug in both than the single Bose. The 30M reminds me more of a traditional PA where it has "punch" as opposed to the Bose "sheen". Had my first gig with it recently and everyone in the audience, PLUS everyone down the street were extremely complimentary with what they heard.

Great sound for a small footprint

We are a duo of acoustic instruments and voice and perform at restaurants. The EV30m has improved the quality of our mix and has helped us to overcome the problems of uneven sound distribution throughout the performance area. This season we never had anyone ask us to turn down the volume because the speaker array system disperses the sound more evenly rather than creating loud zones. The smaller footprint of the system has meant that we can now perform in venues where space is at a premium. We're thrilled with the ease of setup/breakdown and all the time saved. The app to control the mixer has worked perfectly- and never failed re: pairing and operation. Big thanks to Drew Foster for pointing us in this direction for upgrading our sound and overcoming the problems we were encountering.

Easy to use, great output, very musical sounding

I use this live performing solo acoustic guitar/vocals and love it! It's so easy to set up and pack away with the power being transferred through the integrated connections on the columns (no cables other than power!). I compared this to several other brands' portable column arrays and this one scored a very close 2nd to a db Technologies one but for way less money. The effects sound great, and it has a surprising amount of output for it's size. I've used it for larger outdoor stuff and it carries very well when turned up without breaking up. This provides much better gain before feedback compared to point source speaker systems because of the column speaker array configuration. Only offers 15V phantom, so if you have a condenser mic, make sure the spec's say it can be powered from 15V (most condensers say 11-52V will work, but just confirm to be safe).

Amazingly Clear Sound

I played out with my EV-30M for the first time for a 40-person wedding reception and wow it sounded great. Such clear sound across music volumes and frequencies and the announcements/toasts sounded pristine. Wide, even dispersion throughout with one system. The only controls I touched were volume and used all factory settings. Three mics in plus DJ controller, plenty of headroom, plenty of thump, no peaking or overheating (we were outside with temperatures in the 80s). I brought a backup ZLX 12P just in case, but left it in the car. I think I may have found the ideal wedding system for Covid-era receptions (less than 50), and with the easy transport and setup my back feels great today

Best Sounding Mixer/Speakers

I'm a keyboard player that (sometimes) pumps (LH) bass, I have a lot of different PA speakers that I play my keyboards (in stereo) through. If I have to bring the PA for the vocals then I usually bring: 2 Vocal PA speakers, 2 keyboard PA speakers, 1 monitor, Bass Amp and a speaker for a drum machine. I used the EV Evolve 30m recently and put all of that through it. I took 2 extra speakers just in case but I really didn't need them. It sounded great. Towards the end of the 1st set we got louder because the place was packed. I went to the 7 band Master EQ and turned up 400, 1k and 2k5. Now I know your going to say those are the worst harsh sounding frequencies but because of the speakers in the Evolve 30m those frequencies made the vocals more present and articulable. The EV Evolve 30m can handle a lot. No distortion, loud, pleasant sounding and fairly lightweight. And by the way, the best sounding Reverbs and effects in a Mixer/Speaker. Nothing comes close nothing. I mean Studio Quality. Just try the very first Reverb "Echo+Reverb Long" you won't believe it!!!

Great sound system for solo and smaller bands! Love it!

I use this for solo gigs and also for a 3 piece band. Got it a couple of weeks ago and after tweaking the sound parameters it really puts out a great sound. It is super easy to set up and break down. This replaced a 5 piece sound system so it really reduced set up and break down time, and also give us a lot more room on stage, especially at smaller venues. I also set it up to record to my recording software, feeding it from the Aux jack, and it works great. We have played both indoor and outdoor venues with it and we haven't had to go beyond half the volume that it will put out, so plenty of power. I love being able to stream music from my ipad through the Bluetooth connection during setup, break down and breaks. The iPhone/iPad app is great for making adjustments during performances, and also allows you to store up to 5 mix setups. We use 1 for solo and another for the band. This was a great decision for me/us.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT

I have used and been a fan of the Evolve 50 for almost 2 years. I have mixed this speaker with a Soundcraft UI16 with excellent results. I recently purchased the Evolve 30M from Pro Audio Star with the hope that I could use it for my solo performances, without having to use my digital mixer. The Evolve 30M does an amazing job of reproducing my Martin Guitar and my vocal. I have used it so far, for a small outdoor show. I used the XWire mic connection for my Audix OM5 and The XWire instrument system (also purchased from Pro Audio Star). I was shocked at the accuracy of the Evolve 30 system. Very little difference in sound from my Evolve 50. The Evolve 30 had less bass but it still had more than enough for my acoustic guitar. My professional opinion is, the Evolve 50 would do a better job with the low end of a keyboard. However, not needing to carry a rack with a mixer, might be a trade off you would be willing to make. The effects are OK but I hope there will be some better upgrades in the future. Keep in mind I am super picky about accuracy and effects. The effects need to sound natural. I was pleased with the settings I dialed in for my outdoor show. This product, with the XWire wireless systems will make my load-in / load-out much quicker and easy on my back.

Took a while to get the right sound but now I like it.

I bought Evolve 30m to replace my Fishman SA220. At first I was not very happy with the sound. However after spending couple of days tweaking things around I finally got the sound I was looking for.
