It does the job. I'm not sure it was worth $45, but I didn't care to shop around to death. I haven't had the problems other reviewers have had with lid not fitting, etc.

This was exactly what I needed! It works great! I love that you can use it for legal and letter size files! Having to work from home more I needed a more flexible way to get my files back and forth from my office. This works great!

Surprisingly tough for a plastic box.

More durable than those thin plastic bins at the big-box stores; this container's walls, lid and handles are nice and thick. Easily holds 20 well loaded legal sized hanging file folders with room to spare while remaining portable and relatively compact. The clear lid is not water-tight, but offers an immediate view of filing tabs, and flips up & out of the way without coming loose.

While the file box does hold quite a lot of documents and holds the weight well, it eventually cracked after putting 30 lbs of paper in it and picking it up. I was hoping the plastic would last a little longer than a month but I guess cheap plastic will be what it is. I should have known this as the handle bends when I pick up the file box and see through cover is flimsy. Overall: 2/5 Recommendation: Avoid this file box as it breaks or cracks easy due to the cheap plastic unless you are looking to just keep it on the floor and not carry it around ever. Tons Of Space

This is an expensive piece of plastic, but is twice the size of most file totes. Love the room, wish it were more affordable.

Holds a lot

If using it for 12 x 12 scrapbook paper, it fits but you cannot use the lid because the paper extends over. Holds a lot though.

Good Looking and Easy to Carry

I bought this file box to compile historical documents for a local Rotary club (part of my eagle project). It was a bit pricey, however I feel that it is the best file box for what I used it for, and is easy to carry around. The only issue is that when the clear top is pulled too far back, it breaks easily. My first box broke this way, but it was an easy fix with some black duct tape.

This file box is much sturdier than most similar plastic portable files. The very substantial is transparent and easy to read files through. it can also be removed.

This works well for its intended purpose and I love that it is stack-able and has sturdy handles, but there is a tab in the middle on one side that interferes with the folders. It blocks the folders from moving through the center, which isn't a problem for me, but because there is a tab on only one side, the folders are able to move freely on the other side and they often get crooked and sometimes come off the track. It's usually fine when the box is sitting still in one spot, but it could cause problems when trying to transport it.

If you need a heavy duty portable filing "bucket" with a lid and carrying handles - for quick and simple filing of birthday/wedding/Thank you cards, children's school work, coupons, magazine clippings, etc - then this is the item for you! I absolutely love it! Will buy another one once I fill this one up!
