One of the sections does not line up when tightened fully. I have had to back off the thread in order for them to all align! The screw thread on this one section needed an extra thread in order to align.

Perfect for my needs. I installed the handrail on my basement stairway. It gives me extra security when I go up and down. I previously had a 2x4 railing that had no grip, just a flat piece of wood. Only problem is one of the pieces to mount on the wall was the wrong size and I had to go and purchase an additional piece.

Love the banister! I’ve purchased 4 of them for my house! The measurements are as expected and the banister is high quality. The only reason I am giving this product 4 stars is because of the toggle bolts that come with it. They barely hold the banister to the wall without anyone hanging on it. Attach to studs where you can and buy larger toggle bolts and you’ll be set!

The manufacturer put a sticker on one of the rails that took the paint off when I removed it. Too late to return. The finish is glossier than I expected, and there are chips in it. Instructions were useless, but it was still fairly easy to install.

I have installed these in several locations in my house and I have to say; they are really good; however, the colour on the elbows for the one's I installed outside, are fading fast and it has not even been a year.

It would’ve been nice to have all the threads screw tight and have the mounts facing the correct direction. It worked out, but you had to loosen some and play around with it to get it perfect, maybe in the future they could do that.

I loved this product. I installed it as a 2nd railing for my cellar steps. I needed a raileing on both sides of the stairs. I mounted a 10ft 2x6 on the block wall and mounted the railing to the 2x6. The railing was strong and well finished. I definetly recommend this railing.

Took two sets to get pieces that even remotely matched up. Had to combine pieces from each in order to get it to a mountable state. Great design, but somewhat poor quality.

Solid, looks great and very easy to install. My Grandkids helped me to put it up. Not a one person job. Extra hands help immensely to keep it aligned while a third person secures it. Took about a half hour from start to finish. My Bride loves it and it is solid!

The 12 foot banister had a few problems. 1st I only received 4 flanges. There should be 5. 2nd the screw anchors were smaller than what I got with the 4 foot banister. 3rd the screws were drywall screws. Not near as heavy as what I got with the 4 foot banister. Luckily I had my own wall anchors and heavier screws that would work. I didn't have an extra flange laying around so it's just missing one for now.

The product worked as designed. Just to clarify, the pipes are metric and not interchangeable with normal US pipes. Nor can they be cut shorter and re-threaded using US tools. The attachment screws were better than most imported screws and I was able to use them without stripping them out.

Am I satisfied I would have to say, yes!! I do wish they were a little bit longer. I had to purchase 2 for the length of my staircase. I give a 5 star because it was still more cost efficient to purchase 2 than to buy a much inferior product for the same cost. Product is solid!

The 8 ft length is based on the length of each of the pipes and does not include the additional space between the pipes. This added and additional 6 inches to length of the handrail. If you are using this to replace a previous 8 ft handrail, you may find this rail is too long and can't be accommodated by your wall when including the additional length and then the size of the mounts at the end.

Sturdy, but strongly recommend using threadlocker!

This came packaged nicely and feels very sturdy now that it's assembled / mounted to the wall, but I strongly recommend using Loctite or another threadlocker when assembling. I initially put it together without using threadlocker and there was a little bit of play: it's impossible to crank down all the threaded sections all the way because the mounting flanges won't line up. Threadlocker eliminated the play.

The accompanying screws and grommets are too small. The heads of the screws can slip through the base plate holes. The grommets should be increased to match the larger screws which I replaced at add'l time and money.

Every piece—-flange, extension, elbows, t’s rods—-screws together clockwise to tighten. So you cannot install piece by piece because as you are tightening one end,the other end loosens. So you have to assemble then attach to the wall. This makes it cumbersome and heavy. Now you have to screw in the flanges on an angle because the rails are in the way. Forget the anchors they provide for drywall, won’t hold up.And you need at least 2 people. Save yourself the aggravation and get a wooden one with hardware you can attach before installing the banister.

The railing is perfect! It is sturdy and a very nice addition to our new deck. The outside stairs were rather steep and I needed something that fit my hand. The railing arrived in good condition and all parts were included. I would definitely purchase again.

Almost perfect

Bought two of these. Everything went well with the first one, then on the second one we found that the anchors were too big. We put one in and it made too large of a hole and she screw wouldn't thread in, it just pushed right through. So we had to get different anchors to complete the job. Not sure how someone could put in the wrong package of screws and anchors. But otherwise, love them!

Very good quality stair railing kit and very happy with the product, especially after buying two sets to have a railing on both sides of the stairway. Screws provided are a bit light for sturdy wall mounting, but other than that an Excellent product that was reasonably easy to install and a very durable attractive metal railing. Loved the round corner railing in quality black finish and installed them in my 3-car garage stairway. Perfect!

Good Solid Handrail

Good solid handrail that comes with everything needed to do a standard installation. I purchased two of these and had a problem with improperly cut threads in one of the wall mounting brackets on one of them.(The other unit was fine.) When the one of the brackets was tightened up on the defective unit it was misaligned with the other brackets. I ordered and got a replacement from Home Depot with no problem. One feature I appreciated was that the wall brackets are spaced perfectly to align with the studs in the wall.The rail is not just painted but a has a really nice hard smooth finish.
