Easy to use for stove top cooking.

Nicely made – perfect for stovetop cooking. Not crazy about the black, but at least after being washed, they will not show light stains. Happy with purchase!

Frayed

I purchased these at Crate and Barrel. Although they are nice oven mitts, soft and efficient , the edges frayed after just one washing.

OK but could be grippier

Positives: It's relatively more pliable for maneuvering pans than most. Protects from heat.

Super functional!

These are great, the silicon also helps keep the pads from getting damp with steam. So when I’m pouring out the pasta water, the pads stay pretty dry!

Magnets?

What happened to the magnets that were in previous models? I bought these for years. With the magnets? 5 Stars. They wear well and they keep your hand cool in the hottest of conditions. But the magnets were such a nice touch. I guess I could try these and then glue some magnets to them.....

Love It

I love my pot holder, had a round one years ago from Crate but it got old. The Crate in my area closed so I went to another retailer and only had square so I bought that but it's too clumsy. I wish Crate would bring back the round one, it's easier for me when removing pans from the oven for me. But this rectangular one is working out too.

Awkward design

I’m used to a silicone mitt, so this is an awkward design—like slipping you hand into an envelope. The silicone itself is a little thinner than a mitt too. It works, but I prefer a mitt.

My go to pot holder!

ATK approved and my favorite pot holder. Mitt style are always too big for my hands and this pocket design give good protection.

Bought these after frantic search through Bed, Bath and Beyond and other Home stores. Just thrilled to find them here and think I bought the last 2 red ones.

Perfect protection

I have burned myself so many times, but this potholder has a pocket for your hand and a very grippy silicon surface. Especially helpful for times the potholder might get a little damp and heat transmits through plain quilted potholders. The best.

Great potholders

Well made, highly durable and will keep me from burning myself when retrieving things out of the oven or microwave! Great investment - had prior ones that lasted a good 8-10 yrs!

I purchased the matching oven mitt to go with this. Very sleek looking with the black and tan color block. It can accommodate many kitchen styles modern, transitional, boho, etc. Its an OXO product, so it is expected to perform to a high standard. As this does.

Great Pot Holder

I really like this pot holder. It keeps my hands protected when I get things out of the oven. It gives me a better grip than using oven mitts. One side is silicone and the other side is material. I wish that it was all silicone material instead.

[Rewarded Review] Very Nice Product - Protects Hands

These are not small pot holders (but they're not HUGE); there's a nice pocket on the reverse side to slip your hand into. It takes a little getting used to, to use only because it's a silicone coating versus the old fashioned padded/fabric-type that I have used for decades. I have used them a few times already with HOT items in my oven and I didn't feel any heat transfer at all. My son thinks they're cool and he doesn't really cook! I would repurchase - it was a good purchase - high quality product.

Wonderful!

As with all other OXO products I own, these pot holders are wonderful. They're generously sized (a bit larger than the average pot holder) and as such, even partially cover my wrist, which is usually left vulnerable to burns when removing hot items from the oven. I washed them immediately upon receipt and they held up very well. Highly recommend.

Too big but good insulation

It says it is silicone but it is more cotton material than silicone. Also they are very large and hard to handle hot dishes coming out of the oven. They are well insulated and do make for good trivits to protect countertops.

Try 'em, you'll like 'em!

Best pot holders I've ever had in my long life, and I've tried many. When holding or draining a very hot casserole-type dish for a couple of minutes I can sense only warmth -- not the usual burning heat that often forces me to lay the dish down before I'm done with the task at hand. So glad I tried these! Haven't dealt with cleaning issues yet so can't speak to that aspect, but right now I can say with no hesitation I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Great grip on cookware, tough to hold on to though

The silicone provides a sturdy grip on hot cookware. I’ve tried using them (I purchased 2) with my hands inside the mitt and outside the mitt. Both ways feel awkward and bulky because they are bigger than my hand (as most potholders are) and do not mold around handles of a dish or edge of a pan. I’m not sure if I will keep them yet, I’m still in a love/unsure stage.

Been looking for a pot holder(s) that does it all

I bought two of these potholders and am so happy I did. No matter how much I paid for other ones, I would still get burned through the material with many of them; when washed/dried, they tended to ravel and lose shape. Oven mitts were just as bad as the pot holders I bought. I was disgusted because I purchased many types of various materials and still got disappointed each and every time, with one issue or another. Then I saw these. What's more, they happened to be on one of Macy's super sales. On one side, they appear to be a regular pot holder but on the other side, there is a "pocket" which turns it into a mitt. Not only does it have THAT feature, but its rubber-type material is patterned and I couldn't let a pot or pan slip out of my hands if I tried! The "rubber like" material certainly keeps any/all semblance of heat away from my hands. They wash & dry very well with no shrinkage, misshaping, pilling or cracking. In my opinion, this is THE PERFECT Oven Mitt/Pot Holder of all.
