Good buy for the $ but it’s wobbly!

Overall it’s OK if you aren’t going to use it a lot, and in my case I won’t be using it a lot. I don’t move around much when I sleep, so being only 2 feet wide is fine. I’m 5’10” 190 lbs so I’m on the top end of an average man. This cot is sturdy from left to right, but from top to bottom it wobbles more than it should in my opinion.

Awsome to say the least

This cot is so comfortable, it is like sleeping at home. This cot, coupled with the Teton Universal XL pad, takes tent camping to another level. It is like sleeping at home. I found this size to be sufficient. I weigh 200 lbs and am 5' 11" and find it to be of sufficient size. The larger XXL might be a tad better fit for me but would not fit my tent as well as the XL. I have a North Face Wawona 8, and though very large, I prefer setting the cots on the ends of the tent which block the two end doors but provides for a lot of open floor space for chairs and a small table, Bluetti power bank, and other electronic devices. The red lever which assists in placing the end supports in the appropriate place, is a game changer. At 76 years of age, I don't think I would be able to assemble a cot without this feature. With the assist feature, assembling the cot is easy and simple. This cot is one of my best tent camping purchases.

What a difference some decades make

This cot is light years ahead of the cots I remember sleeping on as a kid. The most noticeable difference is there is no aluminum bar just close enough to the sleep surface to make the night super uncomfortable. This cot is amazing. I love it. It sits high enough off the ground to make it easy for old *** knees to work properly. Thank ***! If I had a SO, I'd buy another one for sure. You can't go wrong with this thing. Just make sure your tent is big enough to handle this cot. It's huge. Not quite a twin bed but darn close. Once you figure out how the pivot arm works, setup couldn't be any easier. Poor Design or QC.

I bought these cots based on my own personal experence with the ones I'd had experience with in the military and the rough handling and use they got and these seemed to be promising to provide. And it looked like this was one outfit that had taken the size issue seriously and done something about it. HOWEVER, the XL cot I got seems to have too much material in the center and rather than the nice tight firm surface the military cots provided this Teton XL cot is so loose in the middle that even though they say it will support up to 400 lbs,, my 165 lb friend looks like their sleeping in a trough, as the cot seems to taco up around them. when i say that i remembered that when i was assembling it I was having to pull the outside rails together to get the end bars to fit, AND now I'm also recalling that the end bars both have nearly 2" of excess bar on one side.... so it may have been a QC or production problem that got the measurements on the end bar attachment points wrong. and rather than replace them with the ones done right they just through them in the box and shipped them like it was hoping no one would notice. And if your making a hundred of those end bars and realize they've ALL been cut wrong....that's a lot of metal to toss out and replace, which impacts profits on something many customers won't notice or return the product for.
