Has worked out great!

We've had this gate for over a year now. The husband's a handy grew-up-on-a-farm type guy and he installed no problem. Added a couple panels of fence from Lowes on either side to fit the opening how we wanted (it matches Lowes fencing panels flawlessly). The gate has held up to kids swinging on it, a super cold and wet winter and blazing hot summer - finish still looks perfect. It saved us a lot of money and looks great - get a lot of compliments on it. It was missing a pair of hinges when it came, but after a call to let seller know the missing hinges were rush delivered. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I understand making it 2 pieces is for ease of shipment , just wish it was noted in the item description. If it was 1 solid gate I would give it a 5.

Nice gate but a big job

I had the gate installed by fencing contractor. He was the 4th person to come out. The 3 previous turned down the job saying the post would never hold the weight of the gate. They all did agree it was a quality gate for the price and that they could not order one similar for the price.

Excellent Product

We have not installed yet, but absolutely amazing packaging. Foam surround and wooden boxes to ensure no damage. Very great quality product as well. Super happy and can't wait to install

Beautiful out of the box; 4 months after installation the defect appeared.

Steel Single Swing Driveway Gate - ST.LOUIS Style - 16 x 6 Feet

Gate is well built, good company to do business with, I will continue to do business with them again. I wanted a steel gate, not an aluminum one they are lighter but dent easy. The only complaint I have is the delivery company would not come up my driveway, It made the installation harder then it had to be.

I would have given the gate 5 stars over 2 but after installing the gate for a customer I couldn’t not figure out why the gate was so sloppy opening and closing till I noticed the bottom hinge weld was so poorly done that the weld broke and was only hanging on by the tack weld on the bottom of the bracket. ( I Have a picture) Instead of dealing with customer service I took the hinge to a weld and had it re-welded.

I was a little disappointed with two pieces gate. We had a gate similar, so I thought it’s one piece. Also the delivery wasn’t nice and took a long time. Only reason I gave good rating was HomeDepot helped me deliver to my house. The delivery company hold my gate for a month. Online representative and Pace Home Depot manager helped.

Steel Single Swing Driveway Gate - ST.LOUIS Style - 14 ft with Pedestrian Gate - 5 ft

I received the driveway gate but was sent the wrong items twice. Never received the correct pedestrian gate. Once received a venice fence. Next received the venice pedestrian gate. When I called I was told by the rep that the st. louis gate was no longer in production. Then I was told it was a 6 month wait.

Not sure why my original review was removed but this Aleko gate is fantastic. The price was great, delivery was great, they're really high quality and beautiful. We had a professional installer install them for us but saved so much money buying them from Saksby. We're thrilled!

Well built.

While it is a big job to install a gate, it was very rewarding to get it put up and install the actuators(I used the MULE double gate opener for about $499). It really turned out beautifully. The welds are robust and the hinges are heavy duty. The gate came fairly quickly. The paint job was good. I was afraid that it might be thin light weight construction, but I was pleasantly mistaken. It was definitely a nice heavy gate. You probably will want a second person to help you lift the gates into place. I give them an A+!

Not one solid unit, needs to be bolted together

This gate I bought is 16 feet and is depicted as one solid gate. It arrived in a box in two halves that need to be bolted together. Nowhere in the advertising does it indicate that this is not one solid gate. This is extremely disappointing.

Although it is a singel swing, for delivery purposes, it arrives in two pieces with the posts in a separate box. FYI, the company that delivered it only had a floor jack & company policy forbid them from entering our driveway. So, be prepared to help unload it - ie - tractor or forklift. It weighs about 470 pounds. We were afraid it might be flimsey, but it is not and for the price, it is quite ornate. We priced having one made at about $100/linier foot, so we came out better this route & didn't have the wait time. We did not use the provided posts to attach the gate, but instead used 4x4" steel posts which we already had. The posts provided would be fine for one side, but the side used to attach the gate would have only been about 3' deep & for that weight of a gate, we put ours 5' deep.
