Gun safe

Cannot assembly the shotgun and put in the safe due to safe too small with shelves and want the shelf. But it does keep the guns safe from kids.

Adequate for long gun storage best for short guns.

I bought for shot guns, had to remove both shelves and all internal brackets. Just a phillips short screwdriver and a small adjustable wrench. Then I was able to then get 4 long guns side-by-side in their cases along the back with 1 more scoped rifle in front of them, it is tighter with cases but I don't store uncased. Also, can fit 3 scoped guns inside their cases, again requires shelves and internal brackets removed. These are decent safes to protect from young kids getting at them, or babysitter, or friends of the kids coming into the house. These will keep your guns safe, out of sight out of mind. I would not use for very expensive collector guns as the metal exterior is too thin of a gauge. But without a grinder tool and time to make a lot of noise most people are not getting inside. I plan to put a battery motion light inside to see interior better, with a good set of lithium batteries will last a long time and aid in seeing the interior. I like the lighter weight, the combo pad, and the flexibility to placement over a single much larger, much heavier safe.

Good But...

Good product, but I had to make modifications. I bought the safe to store shotguns - I had to remove the lower storage shelf and relocate the barrel racks to make the shotguns fit. Luckily - the way I reinstalled the barrel rack it is held into place by the brace of the shelf I removed (kind of hard to describe). It works. I thought any rifle safe could handle a shotgun. For many of us first time buyers - more information would be useful.

This seems to be a good safe for prevention of access to your firearms. It is not fireproof. For simple protection, this is a great safe.

You could use a Shotgun slot on the Rigel rack

[Rewarded Review] Lock stopped working after 4 months

After only for months of light use, the lock stopped working. I was not able to get into my safe for about a day, when the law started working again after many many tries. I have not contacted customer service yet. I will update after I talk to customer service.
