Attractive and the in ground post is sturdy. Easy to assemble and install. The door however does not close very well and we will need to develop some way to better secure it.

Sturdy metal pole and mailbox package. My previous wooden pole lasted about two years, so this one should last longer. Easy to follow installation instructions.

The mailbox was installed by my grandson and it looks great. It’s very sturdy. The price was right for the product

Steel post mailbox combo

Over all great value. Love that it almost all steel the only thing I don’t like about this mail box and post combo is that where it attaches the mailbox to the post is made of plastic. Still very nice though. P.s I would have paid more if that piece was made of wood or steel

Door Fell Off

The screws holding the door on are made of plastic. I bought this in April, and the screws wore out and the door fell off in 6 mos. Why use plastic screws on a metal box? Other than that no complaints.

Relatively easy to assemble, all the parts were there. Instructions called for tools that couldn't be used, i.e. a screwdriver for bolts with no slots, flat head or Philips head. The open end wrenches called for would have worked on the inside of the box (attaching it to the post), but not on the outside, as there was insufficient room to grip the nut. It would have been easier with two people.

first mailbox purchased had holes that were not properly cut in the joiner piece. I returned it and the second one was missing the joiner piece altogether. Very poor quality control.

This is a nice, although economy, mailbox. It is a fair priced box and post kit that took me 45 minutes to install. Everything is in the box except for two 7/16" wrenches to attach the box to post, and of course the shovel. I I set the post in a bag of Sakcrete for better stability. Got the 3" numbers, and they are probably an inch bigger than really needed. Overall I am satisfied with the mailbox and the ease to set it. I must have done well enough because the mail carrier put our mail in it the next day.

Nice looking mailbox. Assemby no issue. The black galvanized steel looks very nice against the black fence.

The Toyota Tacoma of mailboxes.

Utilitarian, yet handsome, affordable, simply designed, easy to manage and operate (install.) I will presume an analogous level of durability to a Tacoma, given the fact that it's mostly made of steel and there are few moving parts. It's a well-thought-out product, down to the rubber plugs to fill the access holes needed to join the pole segments. I even appreciate the simple designation of the product, "MB1," which I assume stands for "mailbox 1."

The connection between upper and lower pipe could be better. A swaged slip in joint would make up better and look cleaner. The current connection leaves a gap which I'm sure will allow water in and in time rust internally. All other features fit and finish nicely.

Worst made mail box ever

I don't know why would the manufacturer make the post like that. So now after 5 yrs we finally have to buy one because where the posts meet is falling apart. I taped it with gorilla tape and it's barely hanging on.

Looks cheap - set post in kwikcrete - will pull it out: & return to Home Depot for one which looks substantial! (Makes a terrible first impression.)

I wanted a complete mailbox kit, didn’t want the hassle of buying in 4x4 post, etc. I really like the simple design, very old school, basic. I would suggest buying two 50LB or 60 LB bags of Quikrete for a solid install into the ground.

Material used for this mailbox is excellent. The price was great for the quality on this product. Very easy to install.

The mailbox appears well made, and installation was quite easy. I simply followed the instructions. I have only had it up a few days, but all seems to be going well. I will go back in a day or two, after I am sure the height and distance from the road are right for the USPS (I measured but it’s nice to have verification) and add some Quickcrete so keep the pole from turning in the dirt holding it.

Very Poor Quality

The screws on the mailbox lid and the flag both backed completely out within a few months. Build quality is very poor. Spend a little more and get a quality mailbox.

Absolute piece of junk

Once the pole is in the ground, mounting the mailbox itself is quite difficult due to the incredibly poor design of the mounting system. Even when done correctly, it leaves bolts protruding into the mailbox itself, which I've never seen in a mailbox before. Further, despite claiming a steel/aluminum design, the mounting bracket is plastic.

Bought 2 mailboxes to see which would look better and fit in the spot by the stairs. As plain as it looked in the box, this black one looks great and is the perfect height and size. It is very sturdy and was easy to install. We actually used a flower pot and poured a small amount of cement rather than to create a small pad like the instructions suggested. Love the mailbox and the price was right.
