Left and right sides were not even, didn't flush up to each other. Had to make the best of it as I needed it that day. Oh well and mind you this was a Curt branded product.

The 1 1/4” to 2” plastic adapter is a joke …

The plastic “adapter” does not work. There is no way to fit it to a 2” hitch as is. So, you have to go to U-Haul and buy a real 2” to 1 1/4” adapter for $25 and throw the plastic piece away.

NIce 1 1/4 inch cargo carrier

I purchased this for my 2022 Polaris Sportsman ATV. I like not having to use a 2" to 1 1/4" adapter. Be aware that there are two hitch pin holes on the shaft. One is thread and on is smooth. They do supply a bolt for threaded hole. No regular hitch pin is provided. I also ordered a Curt Anti-rattle kit (22315). This will not work with this cargo carrier. The threaded hole on the shaft, has a threaded bushing going through it. This actually is a built in anti-rattle kit. Because of this, the 22315 will not slide inside. Other than that, the hitch is easy to put together and feels very sturdy. Recommend.

nice tray, cheap installation hardware ( plastic) the adapter to go from 1 1/4" to 2" is plastic, after 50 miles or so plastic sleeve cracked from rough roads leaving my rack leaning backwards

The header says it is Aluminum, but it is steel. Called Curt and checked with them and they said THEY DO NOT MAKE an aluminum one. Returned it for full credit and told them they are false advertising the product. I went back and read some of the reviews and have complained of the same thing, but I see the word has been changed to STEEL.

Just what I wanted in a cargo carrier

curved insert raises the tray; fits both 1-1/4" and 2" receivers; there is even room to step between the automobile and the tray to adjust tie-downs!

Rusting after a week

Not a bad rack, easy to assemble and seemingly well built except fort the fact that it rusted in a week. I plan to keep it an repair / maintain it, but buy if you are okay to repair from the first week and regularly maintain.

High quality cargo carrier is easy to assemble and easy to install or remove from vehicle.

Arrived in about a week. Carrier was extremely easy to assemble. Looks exactly as pictured. Fit is perfect on the car - the step up gives extra clearance, and the unit sits with a slight angle with the rear edge up about an inch or so. Paint was good. I added two rear reflectors in red and side reflectors in amber to help with the visibility of the unit. I also purchased the 70 gallon HDX storage container and four 48 inch bungee cords to secure the container. Works perfectly to shuttle things back and forth without the need to disturb anything in the trunk of my car. Adds lots of extra storage space to put tools and materials for those never ending projects around the house. It is relatively light and easy to install or remove. This is a great addition if you have either a 1.25 inch or 2 inch receiver.

Built like a brick house

Kind of a fussy assembly requiring clever use of vise grips to hold pieces in place. This thing is really well engineered and solid. Had a little frustration with the tack welded screen being in the way of one of the fittings. Few minutes with the Dremel tool sorted this out. Follow the instructions completely about how much to tighten which bolts when. Shop around for this thing because prices vary all over the place. After buying it on one service I found it for 15 bucks less on another, and a hundred bucks more on the manufacturer's website.

Great Rack!

Since I couldn’t find any decent aluminum ones, I bought this one. I had put lots of reflective tape. Seems pretty solid enough to handle 2-300 pounds. We need more cargo racks to be able to support a bike rack as well. Forgot bungee cords on the last pic, but nothing came out!
