Supports 300 lbs!

I purchased this bed for my adult son who is 6 ft. tall and weighs over 300 lbs. He absolutely loves it. He said he no longer feels he is going to fall out of bed. It is well-made and sturdy. All parts went together easily. The extra storage underneath is a great bonus. Only time will tell if the bed continues to hold up under the weight of my son, but I have high hopes.

Appearance and quality just ok

I received my order but it was not easy. I only received one tracking number. Wlmt had no idea where the rest of my order was or that there was even more to ship. The description of the item was contradictory advising yes and no for a box spring. The manufacturer responded quickly and answered my questions. However the item arrived with chips and many blemishes. None of the parts were labeled. I was hoping for a more seamless delivery but this was a very frustrating purchase to receive and assemble. Get someone to assemble for you!

Perfect for those 6’1 height

Assembling this bed on difficulty I would say 7/10. Overall, the frame is perfect, and I definitely recommend having box springs with it. I bought a 8” mattress thinking it was high enough but when I sat down on the bed you can easily hit the edge of the bed frame which can be dangerous. Other than that the drawers are every roomy and deep.

Decent Bed if you catch it on sale

Overall I though it was a good bed. I noticed some of the wood chipped during transport. It arrived with imperfections. Nothing functional so I kept it. I thought it was lacking stability so I added L brackets to the corners. With my modifications it’s a really durable bed. The other issue I had was the directions mislabeled the parts. It made it confusing. I don’t think I would have paid full price for it. I caught it on sale for 292. I do think it needs a little box spring because the wood planks will leave splinters in your mattress

Well designed, easy assembly.

I like that this is designed to be used with the drawers on either side. The manufacturer has drilled holes so you can choose which side they're on, but I have a better solution. Since the head and foot boards are identical, simply turn the bed around. I really like that the slats provided run lengthwise and not crosswise. This eliminates the need for box springs. Seems quite sturdy, though I wouldn't jump on it. Someday I'd like to see a bed with this that has deep drawers that extend the full width of the bed. Be careful of the color coating, it's very thin and is easily damaged. One person assembly.

Fine for now, but won't last

It was a lot of work putting it together. I’ve been using it now for about a year. I’m pretty gentle with it so it’s still good, but I see bits and pieces falling off due to poor quality materials (lots of fiberboard). It’s a fine design. Very practical. I wouldn’t recommend using it for children or teens who are a bit rough on furniture. It couldn’t take the beating of a youngster.

zero quality control given

Purchased and once opened the box, there was sawdust sediment, etc and every piece had long scratches and scuffs. Emailed Prepac as per the manual and was advised they could not do anything as it shipped from Ontario and not their BC plant. To reach out to who I bought it from which was Walmart. Of course for them it was a "no problem, print the label, you'll here from the driver for pick up".... The parts are all out of their box as needed to take pictures for Prepac... I should not need to lug these items anywhere. Ugh... I cannot believe a product left a manufacturing plant at all in the state in which it came in. Obviously no one is doing quality control on what leaves the processing plants. And of course....no more available etc one that is almost twice the price now. Already purchased a black dresser as wanted a black bed. But expresso is available cheap. :S

Standard composite wood furniture. Advertised as expected.

Helpful tip: Always be ready to see damage/issues when ordering composite wood furniture. It's cheap for a reason. So despite having dents/tears on the shipping packaging, there was enough foam padding on the inside to prevent dents on the wood. What was a little disappointing though was the lack of any type of paper or SOMETHING between the boards to prevent scratches between the laminate during shipment. Most scratches were minor and it just happened that the most prominent scratch would be against the wall anyway, so it worked out. Directions were clear and accurate. Definitely use an electric drill if you have one. About 95% of the pieces came together smoothly. There was one pre-drilled hole that wasn't drilled deep enough that I had to address. And the channel that holds one of the shelf bottoms was cut extremely crooked, which fortunately I was able to fix myself as well. The support slats for the mattress honestly look like scrap plywood. Just be aware that they're not sanded at all, so the rough cuts and splinters will be an issue if you don't sand it yourself or put some layer of protection between the slats and your mattress. All in all, surprisingly sturdy construction for the price. Just be prepared for minor issues for that price tag.
