Modern style stand works well.
I use this with mirror ball purchased at Walmart. I like that it has pointed legs that hold it securely in the ground. The black color and modern style keep the glass ball in place while looking lovely.

Tall enough to remain above the tallest flowers
Five inch long spikes at the base set firmly into the ground. The piece is solid and sturdy with a nice satin finish. The reason i did not give it five stars is because the petals surrounding the cup at the top are not all the same- so my Achla gazing ball does not sit firmly on all of them.
beautiful ball stand
unusual design, very attention getting. I've had both an 8" ball and a 10" ball in it and either one looks good. Hard to find a stand this tall but I love that I can see it through my living room window.

Gazing Ball Stand
Excellent stand. Strong, holds ball securely. Legs are set well enough apart to hold in the stand securely on the ground. This is the second one I purchased. The first one is over six years old and hasn't rusted or broken down in any way.

Just what I needed
I ordered this, not for a gazing ball but to hold an antique iron armillary (sun dial) whose base had broken. It was a perfect fit and looks like they belong together. I'm so glad I found it.
Heavy and well made
This is well made. Pushes into ground to make it stationary and safe to place large globes on. Make sure you realize how tall it is. It is taller than I imagined and, no, I didn't measure it before I bought it. My bad. But, for me, it is acceptable as I have other globes near it.
