I hate this rug and worst customer service

When we received this rug, it was significantly a different color than what was indicated in the picture. I tried to reach out to customer service, but nobody ever responded to me.

Fraying

As everyone knows these regs are not cheap! I've had my rug for only a couple of weeks and the edges are fraying! It had some fraying in it within the first day which I thought, "that's okay, nothing is 100% perfect" but as the days go on it just gets worse and worse. I really love this rug but I'm super disappointed that I spend almost $2000 on a rug that's supposed to be durable and the edges are already fraying!!! Super disappointing!!!!!!!

Great rugs

I purchased two rugs for my kitchen. I love both. The 5x7 takes all the traffic in the room and the 8x10 is under the kitchen table. They look fantastic! And are doing what I need! My old rugs were easily crushed to death. The low nap and wash ability of these rugs is a huge plus! No pets - just senior citizens. Wish I’d had these years ago!

Quality Issues

I had high hopes for this rug. I ordered the 9x12 but unfortunately for a rug of that size the quality was not what I thought it would be. Firstly I understand it's supposed to be thinner so we can wash it, but but when it goes on top of the rug pad it is wrinkly and does not lay flat. We tried it all. Then, when we would walk on it, it would make a noise that almost sounded like velcro. Also the color was much darker than what it showed us in the photo. Overall very disappointing as a large living room rug. I'd probably get a runner for the kitchen or a smaller one for the kids playroom.

If I could give this rug 0 stars I would. It’s the worst rug I’ve ever owned. Stains don’t come out no matter how quickly you address the mess or how you wash it. Their customer service is snarky, rude and unhelpful. After you wash the rug the edges curl up so people constantly trip over it and the company tells you to tape it down. After spending over $500 on a rug that’s exactly what you’d expect to do right? Tape it down? One spill of coffee and this rug was done.

Love this rug!

I was curious about Ruggables for a while, then I learned that a neighbor has two and loves them. I needed a large rug for my living room and this rug is perfect! It's soft under foot and just beautiful.

Really pretty!

This is our first Ruggable rug, and so far I really like it. I love the style and the soft blue/grey colour is very pretty. It lays flat right away which is great. I haven’t tried to wash it yet but I’m sure I’ll need to given its placement in our entryway. It’s pretty thin, but it works well for our purpose because I need the closets to be able ti open. Definitely go for the thicker version if it’s for a bedroom or living room. The only criticism is that the rug does move around very slightly. Way better than our old rugs that I was constantly re-adjusting and re-centering in the hall through the day, but it does definitely slide ever so slightly and I find myself re-adjusting an inch or so every few days. Pretty minor and of course if you have furniture on it then it wouldn’t be an issue.

Great for pets and kids!

I bought my ruggable because my maltese was having traction issues on my hardwood floors. She'd recently hurt her back and was struggling. I chose ruggable because she is still pad training. Also, I watch my grandson two days a week and he's a toddler. I wash this rug every other weekend (in addition to spot cleaning with my hand held steamer). It has held up wonderfully. Comes completely clean. Dries quickly. Last week the laundromat trip was out of the question, so I laid it on the deck and took the power washer to it. Hung it over the railing. In two hours, it was dry and like new. Highly recommend!!

Large rugs are not a good idea

I bought a large living room rug bc we have 2 dogs. There are several issues with the larger rug options:

Disappointed

I have purchased 2 of these rugs & 2 of the pad systems. Also 1 larger rug & pad. None of them stays in place like touted. When I emailed ruggable the solution they gave me was the following: “Also, in our advanced user testing, we found that using Velcro tape to connect the Rug Cover to your floor surface reduced sliding on hardwood floors and vinyl. In testing, we found that a 1" section of Velcro tape did the trick. Also, we recommend taping the Rug Cover to the floor and NOT the Rug Pad.”

Love it (with one exception)

This is my second ruggable! I chose to get a runner this time for my master bathroom and it’s amazing. Easy to take off the top part and wash it with other bathroom rugs. My only complaint is that the padding doesn’t fully stick to the ground (I have tile in the bathroom) as my other padding did in my living room. It doesn’t slide around but if you lean a little or something, you can feel it slowly sliding. I keep having to fix it when I know other rugs don’t have this issue. May be it’s the padding I got? Other than that, beige happy with the color/design I picked and the look of it! Really added to my bathroom

Would not buy again

The rug looks great for about two months. It’s really nice they send a reminder of when would be a good time to wash for the first time. However, the edges of the rug are never the same once washing, even washing exactly according to their instructions. They curl up and become trip and fall hazards. When contacting customer service about this, their recommendation was to use tape. Tape…on the near $500 purchase. Ok. For $250 I can go down to home goods, get a rug just as pretty, spot clean it as needed, and not have to feel bad about it getting dirty. We put this rug cover in the wash, again per instructions, in the wash after two months of just my husband and I walking on it casual traffic. No shoes in the living room, no pets, etc. there was a literal brown track mark from walking patterns.

Doe’s it really simplify life?? 🤔

I find the rug very chic in design but it has no fluff to it, it feels like a towel under your feet and you definitely need two people to take on the task of removing and putting it back, especially if you have your dining table over it. The first washing process was a nightmare, not the rugs fault I just put to much dawn and I spent an entire afternoon rewashing it until I read somewhere online that adding fabric Softner will eliminate excessive detergent to a load. I don’t know if fabric softener is recommended, the instructions are very basic. The reason why I got the rug was because my dog will pee on one corner of my rugs despite the many fights that we’ve had as a result of his behavior but you know when they’ve made their mark its over. Any way, getting back to the rug, for me its much easier to use my shampoo vacuum then to load on to a washer and dryer not to mention the tsunami of static that came when I pulled the rug portion from the rug pad omg. the option of washing is totally up to the individual . Would I purchase another one again?probably not, it sounds like a great idea a rug you can throw into the washer but it’s also a task within itself. I wouldn’t want to discourage anyone from purchasing as this was my experience so Good luck if you decide to purchase
