The light socket is crooked and it makes the light bulb appear crooked too. Not sure if I will return it and hope for a straight one. I will also have to pay the installer twice. How did this pass QC?
Nice light fixture for indoor or outdoor use
The Globe Electric Bowery 1-Light Matte Black Outdoor/Indoor Pendant Light with Clear Glass Shade is a beautiful light fixture that is very well constructed. The metal is heavy and solid. The deign is clean and simple enough to be used in almost any style decor. The matte black has a slight sheen to it so it is more like an eggshell finish but it will work with other matte black accents nicely. Although this is presumably an outdoor light fixture, this can easily be used inside the home as well. A grouping over a big kitchen island or peninsula would be lovely. The price is right too! I personally would have preferred a black rod to hide the cord vs a basic black link chain. Note that it does not come with a bulb included so I recommend a warm white vintage bulb size E26 Max 60 watt and you're all set to go! Less
Easy to Install
The Globe Electric Bowery 1-lightPendent Light in Matte Black finish is really easy to install. They give you about 6-feet of chain to accommodate high ceilings. The brightness of your fixture varies greatly on the bulb chosen for this fixture. We installed this outside as an accent on our porch. We installed a vintage style LED bulb to give a warm glow to an otherwise dark corner.
Very Nice Fixture
Product: Globe Electric Bowery 1-Light Matte Black Outdoor/Indoor Pendant Light with Clear Glass Shade/Country of Origin/////I ordered this light fixture as a compliment to the sconces on either side of my garage door. It matched perfectly. It has an open bottom which makes for easy bulb changing and it's large enough to accommodate just about any style bulb desired. The pictures that accompany this review show the fixture with a standard A19 bulb, but I have since replaced it with an Edison bulb and there was ample room to do so. The price was right as well. I am thoroughly happy with this purchase. It was an all-around great choice for my application.
