Fit perfectly. Put paper under valve to catch screws when you drop them.
Does not mate with older rough in valves (that use 4 mounting screws for the regulator cartridge)
The item did not work for my application - apparently the older version of the pressure regulating cartridge is different - uses 4 screws and is a 2-part unit. The new pressure regulating cartridge did not come with this necessary retaining ring, so I had to order it after receiving my unit, and then I found out that the new ring uses 3 screws and does not align with my older rough in valve.
It got the job done on the fly....
