[Rewarded Review] Decent
This is a decent tortilla maker for a beginner. The heat did not evenly distribute.
Works very well
I use it on a daily basis to make Chapatis/Rotis (Indian Soft Flat Bread). I find it easy to use. Rotis come out very well. I liked the product.
[Rewarded Review] Great tool for Indian flatbread at home
Great tool for Indian flatbread at home.
Works great for me.
I watch some video reviews and lots of people give it a bad review, but you should watch the ones that make it work and you'll see that it actually does. It works great for me and I got some more for gifts 😊.
[Rewarded Review] Tortilla maker
This is actually the 2nd Brentwood tortilla maker we've purchased since a little over a year -- the first one stopped heating about a month before the warranty ended (1 year warranty). The company makes you pay for shipping to get it repaired at their branch in California and its not worth it to spend on shipping when i could spend a little more and get a new unit, so i thought. I ordered the "new" one on Walmart's website, but its clearly been used as it has scratches and finger prints right out of the box so im wondering if this was returned. Nevertheless, i've gotten an extended warranty so in case it goes bad prematurely, i'll be covered.
Bad quality and worst customer service
Not sure what was worse, the quality of the product (broke during first use) or Macys Customer Service. We process the return online and got a QR code, went to Macys to deop the return and they said I couldn’t return even the instructions were clear and followed by us. We ended leaving the defective product so at least they dispose it properly but without any refund. We had been a Macys customer for more than 25 years but we won’t return.
Big Disappointment
This tortilla maker was not what I expected. If the dough is not perfect it will slide right off of the tortilla maker. Too much trouble even though I tried making the dough over. It is going back.
PS: I am not happy with the product at all. First FEDEX did not deliver to my home but to a different address on the same street. Further the lady picked up the Roti maker and brought it to my home as correct address was written on it (appreciated). How the FEDEX deliveryman can be so irresponsible to not match the address written on the box and the house number. The lady said the fedex guy throw it from at least 6 to 8 feet away. Now when I opened the box and the plastic is broken from the middle where means the product is unusable, and will not perform its intended function. Please let me know what to do with this broken item. Kind regards, Ram Pabla.
[Rewarded Review] Not good work for make roti tortilla or bred
I bought this bread maker for making bread but it makes very thick bread it is not a good machine. U can’t eat bread meikin by this Please don't waste your money
1 Star
It worked great until, sadly it broke at two month mark. the plastic on the top seems to be a weak point for putting any pressure on and with it broken l, cannot use the lever anymore to press them.
[Rewarded Review]
Brentwood is not what I thought it would be. This product does not make good roti using mixed flours dough. Walmart did its best. I am returning it after the first use.
[Rewarded Review] Not worth it - wrongly advertised
Doesn’t work for rotis or pita
Helpful tool for home cooking
Love making fresh corn tortillas . Good size, strong quality. Easy to use. Love it.
Good idea but poor quality
It worked initially. But after a few months, this machine stopped working. The tortillas/rotis are very thick now.
Experienced cook gives a big thumbs down.
1 star, yeah, I know, is it really 1 star? Yes, or even less. The machine is operational, there are no defects, but it's simply just not designed to make tortillas thin enough. It will NOT flatten them enough at all. I am an experienced tortilla maker. I tried 6 separate batches of tortillas, each time researching and altering the recipe and my method of making them slightly to encourage better results. Every time, I end up with tortillas that are too thick to bend without creating a tear. You're supposed to put the slightly flattened dough ball about an inch from the hinge, close the top and use the lever to press down fir just a moment and open it back up. The dough ball will be flatter, but too thick nearest to the hinge. If you turn the tortilla 180° and press again, its still too thick. By the way, I used doughs that were high in moisture and flexibility. Yes, I let the dough rest for a good long time before cooking. I've decided after all this experimenting that its definitely not me or the recipe. The fault is the way the machine is designed. I wish there was a question and answer ability so that I could emphasize just how poorly designed this product is to anyone who has questions. I had thought to myself after reading the other reviews that I could overcome any problems, but no, not at all. This machine does not produce anything remotely resembling a good tortilla. Thanks for reading. Don't waste your money.
Nice product and awesome customer service
This tortilla maker is very easy to use and makes the entire process much easier. I think the 10” size is big enough but still not too big. And the 1200 watts provides better overall heating. So, it flattens the tortilla or bread and cooks it through nicely and relatively quick. Also, the adjustable temperature comes in handy so it can adapt to different recipes. I also initially had an issue with my order that the seller handled quickly and professionally. So, It is a very nice product that comes with an excellent customer service. I am very happy with this purchase so far, no complaints at all, and I would totally recommend it!
Worthy purchase
It’s really good, the handle feels little bit flimsy. If you use is properly it won’t break. Overall it’s a very very good Roti maker and tortillas maker. We have to make soft stick dough to get best results.
I bought it to make flour tortillas
I loved it! You have to let it heat up and once it’s “ready” flatten the flour dough ball and place it in the center and press down. I rotate it and press again and then I just move my tortilla to a hot griddle to cook. I don’t let it cook on the press. I bought it with the intention of just using the press to flatten my tortillas. So much faster to make flour tortillas now.
BRM Saves Time and Effort
Received in a good condition, thanks to all involved in the shipping process. Works as advertised, saves me a great deal of time and effort. Takes a few tries to optimize roti-making (watch all the YouTube videos to hone in your skills); did not try to make tortillas yet. I can now make rotis much quicker and easier (more like in one-fourth of the time compared to end-to-end manual operation, from raw flour to rotis).
Great puri maker
Arrived on time. This is a great puri maker for (pani puri) or in general puri maker.
