Glass not sturdy - disappointed with this expensive product

The glass is very fragile because our kettle cracked with a light tap on the sink. I was expecting this product to last much longer, I bought this expensive tea maker only 6 months ago. For the price I expected a more sturdy product with better quality glass.

Good tea maker

High quality tea maker. I bought it to make chai lattes, and it is a bit tricky for this job. I just need to heat up the milk separately. The one drawback is the minimum is 2 cups - don't always want that much tea.

Awesome tea infuser! You can adjust the temperature based on the tea, and you can set the time for brewing. I also use this kettle just for boiling the water. Cleaning is very easy because the parts are coming off easily, you can clean them thoroughly. It doesn’t take up too much of space on the counter, which is great! I usually leave it on my countertop because I use this daily. Highly recommend!!

Love this kettle

Love this little kettle. We use it daily. It’s quick, it looks nice on the counter and it turns itself off. No more forgetting the kettle is on. The temperature settings for various types of tea is a lovely feature that we use regularly.

Cumbersome

This unit is very cumbersome to use. It makes good tea but hard to clean and quite heavy

No replacement kettles

The glass kettle broke after 5 weeks. I could not return and Breville doesn’t sell replacements. Waste of money

Hot tea is made!

This tea infuser is a great product. I use it every morning to make my raspberry black tea and it’s perfect every time. I almost gave it a four star because there is no auto start like a coffee pot.

Good concept but has a poorly design part that fails

This unit is handy for making tea, however, as someone else's review has noted the magnetic lid fails. Underneath the metal covering of the lid is a plastic ring holding the magnets and that plastic cracks and fails, causing the lid to not contact the tea basket properly. Without the magnetic connection, you can't use the lid to lift out the tea basket. This appears to be either a design or material flaw. This occurred within about 8-10 months of my daughter receiving the tea maker as a gift and now she regularly has to use an oven bit to retrieve the tea basket. Unfortunately she is disappointed in the failure of a product she otherwise liked using.

Conceptually a good idea for convenience but after 1 week it’s already rusting on the bottom (even after rinsing out and allowing to air dry). Also to keep tea warm you have to press button every 30 mins which is annoying.

Bought it few weeks ago

I love this appliance. I would use this everyday to heat up water for cocoa, or tea. Or really anything I needed water for quickly. I loved the little infuser basket that was attached to the lid and how there was an option to remove it. I had it for several years and it always looked shiny and clean. I think it’s superior in quality and the only reason I stopped using it is because my child broke the glass pitcher!

This is an incredible product because it's so easy to use. With its quiet operation, it's like having a silent butler brewing your tea. The fast brewing time is a blessing on busy mornings. The keep warm function? Just another feather in its cap. And let's not forget the stainless steel infuser, the unsung hero adding charm to every cup. In short, it’s a tea lover's dream realized in a compact gadget.

Worth it

Practical, easy to use and clean. It operates fast and chimes when ready. Steeping features are a plus.

I'm an avid tea drinker. While visiting my daughter-in-law, in the U.S.A., I got to use her tea kettle and loved it. When I got back to Ottawa I searched for this product and finally found I could get one from Best Buy.

It's our second Breville tea infuser. We decided to buy it when the first one (the base) broke after several years of good service.

So Disappointed!

For years we used the Tea Maker, which is an awesome product with one very serious flaw. Two years ago, we moved to a brand new house and the Tea Maker no longer worked. Thinking it was time to replace it, I purchased another. Worked for a short while, and then stopped working. It seems that the voltage was too powerful, so the kettle stopped working. I called to complain and to find a solution (really loved that pot) but the solution was to put the money I spent into an account and use it to purchase another product. I chose the Smart Tea Infuser. There are so many problems with this product. You must move the tea leaves around with a spoon or the water does not reach all of the leaves. I usually add water to #4. The magnet no longer works, so the infuser holding the tea, which is very hot and wet, must be removed manually, which is very awkward. In addition, the temperature of the tea is at times, much hotter than what I programmed it to be. Also, because you must remove the infuser when your tea is ready- where do you put it? You need a bowl sitting nearby for it to sit in. So not a user-friendly product. I understand from many of the reviews, that the glass kettle breaks often. That hasn't happened to me so far!

This is my new favorite tea maker

I really like the Breville Smart Tea Infuser Compact Tea Maker. It's so easy to use and has a large capacity, which is great for when I have guests over. The fast brewing time and keep warm function make it even better. The compact design and quiet operation are also nice features. The only downside is the short power cord, but that's a small price to pay for such a great product. Overall, I highly recommend this tea maker!

I Love Love Love My Breville Teamaker

I’ve had my Breville tea maker for years, and I love it every time I use it. I’m not a coffee drinker, and I appreciate being able to use so many really good loose teas in my Breville. I have a Brevell toaster, a Brevell smart oven, a Breville blender, and this Breville tea maker. I have enjoyed each of them for years and highly recommend Breville as a quality brand.
