Item came damaged and only a small refund was sent. Now I have an expensive damaged shelf on display. I will not shop with you again.

HON Metal bookcase

Arrived in one piece, undamaged. Very sturdy! All metal, even the back. Just what we needed for all of our heavy books. The wooden bookcase shelves we had previously were sagging and couldn’t hold everything we needed. This is exactly as described and a perfect color for our office.

I purchased three of these, one (1) six shelf 81" high and two (2) five shelf 72" high, HON Brigade bookcases to hold my collection of vinyl records, books and other materials.

Quick and Easy

I ordered a new bookcase and the only problem I did encounter was an email telling me that the item would be delivered earlier than the original delivery date.

We bought 2 units for 2 offices. Much less expensive than other units. Durability is great. We had one older bookcase but it was taupe and did not match. It was 15 to 20 yrs of use and still looks like new. Hon has quality!

Had to send one of two back because it had dents. Replacement was almost as perfect as the other. We have 5 of these now. Love the part where we don't have to put them together.

Solid construction. However, it looks like other items pere placed atop of it during transport. The result. There are bends at the highest shelve and the lowest shelves (shelve locations at time of shipment).Further, the paint has chipped off at the bend. And I haven't even put any books on the shelves yet.If it wasn't so tall and such a bear to move into the room, I would return the product for another one. I plan to just use some touchup paint and accept the product as it is.Suggestion: Don't order 80"+ tall shelve, and you might be able to avoid the bends.

Its a very nice book shelf although the shelf holders are not secure and the shelf holder fell down when I added stuff. The way its supposed to be is that you slide it underneath and it pops into place but it is not secure so I placed the shelf over it on top. It does not pop in but because the top of the shelf has a slope that goes down sort of toward inside. So it is actually more secure the wrong way than the right way. As you can see its holding all my textbooks and extra books fine now at the top shelf so now I don't need to worry anymore about having to need them at a bottom shelf. Edit, the 3rd shelf down fell again and it had relatively light weight on it... maybe about 5- 10 pounds which is less than my top shelf and still fell after a while. If you get this do not get the adjustable shelves. I should have known better. Took away an extra star for this... Now I am missing a holder.

Love it. I bought two and they are perfect for holding media, books, trinkets. Sturdy. The two I have are in my living room and are 1/2 media, 1/3 books, and has about 30 lbs of collectibles on top. I will buy more for my bedroom when I have the need. If you are sick of crappy particle board, IKEA projects, and low-quality merchandise, I highly recommend you spend the extra money for these beauties, because they are worth every penny.

A Very Recent Purchase and I Really Like It!

It definitely worked for my purposes! So far I have absolutely no complaints about it (I just received it within the last five days). It came assembled, which I love, and it is holding up well for the purpose - I'm using it to store and organize binders. Although the shelves felt a little light and the clips that hold up the shelves could be easier to relocate within the bookshelf so far it's holding up very well and I am very happy with this product!
