The chairs fit compactly in the original shipping.
The chairs are made to fit compactly in a box, but that reduces the curvature of seat back. I found these too uncomfortable to sit on for more than 10 minutes at a time. I returned the chairs for credit.

These chairs are sturdy and were easy to pop open. The only reason i voted them down is because they have a bit of a dramatic slope to the seat. Its not uncomfortable, or anything. Just odd, mostly. They tilt you very far backward. But great chairs
