Lasted 1 night. Cheap dials Poor Quality

I purchased this light because it appeared to be of higher quality than the last cheap motion sensor light that I purchased from home depot. That lasted 3 years, but this one only lasted 1 night after adjusting the dials the next day for the automatic dim, it stopped working entirely. Very disappointing, stay away from this one!

3 year review

Light is great! I’ve had it under the soffit for over 3 years now and is still up and running great! It has survived many storms, rains, hail storms, etc. building a new house and I’m going to purchase 2 of these for the backyard. My current light lights up my 1,000sqft covered back patio without a problem.

Placed this light at the peak of a 18’ shop/garage. I needed a light to reach out over a large pool/backyard area. The 8000+ lumens on this light was needed to reach out to the back of this large area. Light was bright but not overwhelming. Pleased with this purchase at least for my needs.

Neighbor has this light

My neighbor installed this light fixture and the amount of glare it causes in all of my windows is so much so that our yard appears like daylight at all hours of the night. This light produces an obscene amount of light pollution and I cannot wait for this light to break so I can enjoy my backyard again. Not appropriate for use in residential areas.

Great light, but to expensive now

I bought this light 2 years ago for a parking area. It was easy to install, lit up the area exactly as I wanted, and has worked flawlessly. I paid about $60-$70 back then. I recently had the opportunity to add a second light in an other area, so I went back to this one. Couldn't believe the price increase, so I began shopping. I found on the Big A a similar light, 50% more lumens, 1/3 the size, and $38. Money is tight, so that's what I bought. This is a good light though.

The mounting is horrible

The light works and it is bright but installing it is a nightmare. The bolt spread on the mounting base is the same as a 4/0 or an octagonal box. This will work, if the box is mounted at 45 deg. or a spacer is needed. The mounting ring can be rotated but teeters on the box when the mounting studs are level. The light is only adjustable in the vertical plane, no side to side. There isn't a gasket supplied either. I returned the light.

Good product. Working well. No issues. The light is not that powerful for my big backyard. I would have been better off purchasing another product with more lumen measurement. However that is not a complaint against this product.

Outstanding residential light

Bought this with weatherproof conduit, junction boxes and 25' heavy duty extension cord. Hardwired light, kept male plug end to use with Kasa outdoor smart plug. awesome total package. Lights up my backyard with perfect color, coverage. Highly recommend this light and will be installing another in my front.

First and foremost. I bought this on a lark. Browsing through the store fate brought me to the LED light displays. I already have the motion detector led lights. They're bright and wonderful until they go out and you are in the middle of a doggie mine field!!! I did "look" at what was offered. I know 5k lumen is bright. I chose this because of the cold capability and water resistance. I also liked the size of the light surface. The light was easy to install IF you have ELECTRICAL KNOW HOW/ KNOWLEDGE!! Otherwise GET and ELECTRICIAN. I tested the light of course. Even the shadows were afraid to come out! Just another note. I covered the light sensor. I did not need it, so far. :)

zero weather sealing

I have installed more lights/fans in my life than I can count. I’m not sure how this light past code for exterior installation lacking weather sealing. Also like others stated the wall mount is very difficult to get the light level. I had to offset the mount leaving a gap to achieve this. Had to caulk around where the electrical housing meets the wall. Definitely something you should not have to do. It’s bright and seems well made otherwise. Hopefully the caulk doesn’t fail and allow water to penetrate my wall.

Very Bright

This light is very bright. I have it mounted on my storage building. The only issue I have is that the photo cell is starting to go bad, the light is starting not to turn off in daylight. I have to turn the circuit breaker off then back on, the light goes off then works fine for a couple of days then I have to turn the breaker off then back on again. I like the output of light, it lights up the entire back yard and backside of the house. This light has only been up for 3 1/2 months.

The light is bright and worked for my application as a dusk to dawn area light external to my barn. The supplied mounting ring has two screws with nuts pre installed. These protrude thru the canopy and the canopy nuts hold the light in place after the plate is screwed to the electrical box. The heads of these screws are set part exactly the same width as a 4" octagon electrical box. The mount plate can't lay flush against the box, it teeters on the screw heads. Design flaw. Secondly the holes for the canopy are not drilled level. So you have a choice to have a level bracket with a crooked light or a level light with a crooked bracket. Poor workmanship. No gasket is supplied so you also will need to add a bead of silicone to keep the rain out.

GREAT LIGHT! Looks fantastic. We put it over our pool area and it lights up the entire pool and beyond. We can now swim at night without the worry of the light going out (motion sensor) this was so easy to install and looks very slim and doesn’t obstruct the nice cedar ridgeline. I was worried that it would stick out like a sore thumb but it doesn’t. Love the led aspect.

I found a different (and possibly better) use of this light. Instead of using it as outdoor dusk to dawn flood light, I used this light in my attic is very long and very dark (even with a couple bulbs I have there.)

We have solar power at our home and therefor LOVE most anything that uses almost no energy. This is my fourth solar light to hang up around our abode. All of them different in some way, but all have the LED LIGHT BULBS. Maybe its an age thing, but, I LOVE the brightness that these things put out without using a ton of energy. We are not tree-huggers trying to save the planet, we just know what works BEST for our applications. I put mine inside my rather large shop, but this is probably a fantastic yard light, because of the photvoltaic cell and the All-weather construction. I hooked mine to a switch. Think about it. This one light replaces the equivalent of 2 150 watt bulbs yet only uses a mere fraction of the energy!! No brainer, for SURE!!!

I really like this light! This wall mount flood light really floods the area with a bright light. I wanted to illuminate part of my back yard and this light covers more than I thought. It has 112 led's and a dawn to dusk light sensor! Excellent quality. The lens is clear . The housing is well made and seals the light from water intrusion. Included is the mounting adapter for electrical box and wire nuts which makes it easy to mount. Definitely a great addition to my exterior lighting.

wanted this type of spread out lights to ensure a broad coverage of light. the light is plastic all over, the sensor work better than any ever use, the light is low weight, the side to side range is the disappointment. about 30 ft wide from more than 30 ft away. 5,000 lumens is probably correct, looks like a little less to me. the spectrum is about what you would see from a plasma cutter. sharp and piercing. $89 thought that was a little high for an all plastic light with plastic front lens. might have to spend $38 on the old cfl that stopped working with a failed ballast.

I purchased this light for security behind my garage. The light is very bright and effective, however, the dawn-to-dusk feature does not work at all. For a plastic light that costs $100.00, I expect everything to work as advertised. Talking to a representative on the phone did not resolve the issue. His information indicated this light was a motion sensor, which it is not. He gave me the manufacture's direct number that I will call next week and provide an update as to the findings.
