High quality fixture, but I took one star off because the plastic sleeve on the candle stem is a thin, stark cold white material which cheapens the overall look. In hindsight you can see this clearly in the pictures. An upgrade with inexpensive (more substantial) ivory candle sleeves improved these sconces. They set a lovely glow in the room.

i always think lighting is like eyeglass - very overpriced for what you get. Anyway, despite the price these sconces are nicely made and well designed. The customer service was very good. Makes we want to buy in the future from this company. Nice Looking. I wanted the backplate to be 2.5 inches or less which is hard t find. This was met the specs. Good customer service.

Gorgeous brass sconce lights!

We almost didn't purchase these because of price but Lighting New York really helped bring pricing into a range we could live with. And the fixtures are gorgeous and well made! The brass is not lacquered so it has the patina like real brass fixtures. I'd suggest looking at the box where the light is to be installed. We purchased 6, two doubles and 4 singles, and each one was challenging to install on some electrical boxes. The easiest ones to install were on a light switch box without any tabs so the fixture fit flush against the wall. The manufacturer could provide some additional hardware or help to aid in installing. Overall, well worth the effort! The brass is not lacquered so it has the beautiful patina like real brass fixtures, The linen shades look wonderful on these lamps! Challenging to install on some electrical boxes.

Beautifully made sconce!

I bought two to go next to a tall mirror in my powder room. I love the fact that the backplate is on the smaller side but they are really heavy and substantial. Also because they came with the shade, it made for an easy purchase. Visual Comfort lighthing is the best. We have their lighting in our bathrooms, kitchen, foyers and hallways. What makes their lighting so unique is the design and finishes. The aged brass is perfect...not too shiny, but subtly golden and hand brushed. The aged brass finish is amazing...you can tell it's handbrushed!
