Reviews

We love our fire pit. It's got good weight so it stays in one spot, but light enough to move easily if needed. The lattice design gives off more light and warmth.

This is a nice fire pit. BUT...we were missing some of the screws to assemble the legs. The bag that the hardware arrived in was ripped open, so most of the screws were scattered in the box. We gathered all that were in there, but were missing a few that were needed to attach the legs. First I called the manufacturer during their normal business hours...got a recording telling me to call back during normal business hours! Then I sent an email to the address provided, and it bounced back as undeliverable. Then I sent an email to Wayfair, who replied that I needed to call Wayfair's customer service, ask for a manager, and they could order the replacement parts, which I did. The Wayfair representative, after I told her the story, said she would try to call the manufacturer, which she did, and then she handed me over to them. I was asked to provide the model number and country of origin (which thankfully was on the item description on Wayfair!). Then I was told I needed to send them an email with a copy of my receipt, name & address, and the reference # to their email (reminder that my first email bounced back!), and it would take about 5 days after receiving the email to receive my replacement parts...which was only a few screws! Ugh!! We will go to the hardware store, but a couple of screws for less than $1.00 and be done with it! As I said from the beginning, it's a nice fire pit, but not worth the hassle to get a few screws!

RUST!!The fire pit is good looking, the problem is the rust developing on the bottom of the pit. This firepit was had very limited use, used once in Feb then taken. into the garage to avoid potential rust. then taken out in May and put on a stone. patio, covered with air flow beneath. I turned over the fire pit to get some old ashes out, and I noticed after only 8.5 months, there is rust on the bottom, and with Limited Warranty, rust is not covered...even with the absolute care I have given the fire pit to avoid rust. So my advice is two-fold, do consider get ting the Wayfair extended coverage or don't buy this fire pit unless you are in a dry region at which point, maybe you shouldn't to avoid danger of spreading fire!! I will be calling Blue Rhin o to discuss the care I have given this product and poor durability of the product. And yes, I will probably be sanding and then using an appropriate paint to cover the rust.

Just like anything else good in life, take care of it and it will take care of you. Buy a water resistant cover for it and it will be great for a long time. Well built, stylish, great size and ventilation. I like the rustic color and design, its elevated nicely. It's not super heavy so I can move it when I need to. Took me about 10min to put together. Everyone loves and compliments it

We we’re throughly pleased with the firepit. The finish is great. Easy assembly the fire cover was great gave good heat and it allowed us to be socially distant during Thanksgiving while enjoying family and friends while watching an outdoor movie in backyard. We did spray paint it with a clear Rustolenum coat to avoid rusting. So far so good very pleased

We Love It!

This fire bowl is the perfect size and depth for warm impressive patio fires. Your firewood will fit nicely regardless of the log size. I was nervous about the reviews about rust but I purchased online a good 40 inch cover and fits great even with the screen in place. In addition the handle rail is sturdy and the fire pit is light enough to easily carry to a garage or shed for dry storage. I think its a great price for the quality of the materials and design. We LOVE it

My family, who are ALL social distancing, just spent a wonderful day and evening surrounding this firepit. Everyone commented on well built, deep and solid it was - and that the screened top actually - fit. Well worth the investment and a welcome addition to our home. Social distance is okay when everyone is cozy and warm around the firepit!!

We chose to get this firepit instead of one built into the patio, so that we could move it off if we needed space for multiple tables (talking crab feast here!) It’s a good size firepit and can hold quite a lot of wood. Love being able to see the fire from the sides, too. We sprayed the lid and the inside & underside of the base with fire tolerant rustoleum to help protect from rust & bought a cover for it. It does have a few rust spots already, so I’m hoping to find an oversized cover that will come all the way down the sides to see if that helps. The outer rim stays cool to the touch during a fire.

We love the size of this fire pit. You stay quite warm sitting around it. We can put our feet under it & it keeps them toasty warm. It’s very light & easy to move around especially if you’re not sure where you want to sit in your yard. We don’t leave it permanently outside so we don’t have the rust issues. We also didn’t use the top so we can’t comment on that. Previously we had all our fires on the ground.

Had this pit for a looonnng time now. Still does its job. Buy a cover for it! Boyfriend has forgotten about it and left it out in the rain so many times that its rusted pretty bad (but that's our fault). It has a huge burn barrel, kicks out serious heat (Would not recommend on a wood deck or under an awning) and has a nice solid legs. The screen cover and little metal handle gets super hot, so make sure you have an oven Mitt handy.

Love it! Looks great. Was pretty easy to put together. The mesh cover is a bit flimsy light (blew off in a windstorm). But overall we really like this fire pit!

Rusted Almost Immediately

While this item is affordable, the quality is reflected in the price. I had read reviews about the rust issue, so I have it two coats of Rust-Oleum high heat spray. Despite the extra TLC and anti-rusting precautions and storage, it still rusted completely to the point that the ashpan bottomed out. It's going to rust quickly no matter what.

Love this new fire pit! Easy to assemble. Generally sturdy, but the bottom grate to hold the logs warped after the first use. This is a design flaw, because it was clearly never going work. I replaced it with a cast iron fireplace log grate I had on hand. Not an exact fit but close enough.

4 Stars

Very nice and looks far more expensive than it is. The crosshatch pattern allows better airflow in my opinion and far superior views of the flames than a bowl type unit. It is impressive and holds a lot of wood for a nice fire. Only suggestion I have is not to leave it outside in winter as it will rust. Not a huge deal but dark copper brown patina is very beautiful.

I'm one season in and have burnt a LOT of wood in this thing. The primary reason for purchasing was to cut up and burn trees that had fallen in the woods behind our house (we had an ash borer kill all our ash trees a couple years back and now they are starting to fall). We live in a nice, wooded neighborhood and while I might have been able to get away with a bonfire, I didn't want to jeopardize being the hillbilly on the street.

Good looking fire pit.

Assembly took about an hour by myself. 15-16 small screws need to be inserted just right. All ok. Don't tighten everything up until everything is in place. Or do the feet first then tighten. Then do the rail and tighten. Nice feature is the wire grill that fits under the screen dome. Great for grilling steaks, burgers, or whatever over a WOOD FIRE! Not to mention marshmallows.

Horrible product, rusted within days after after first use

This fire pit looked great when first assembled and for the first use. It was a good size. However, after only one use, and within days the screen or cover was entirely rusted and the fire pit itself was half rusted. It is now totally rusted, I should have returned it the minute it started to rust. We are extremely disappointed that we paid a lot of money for something with such poor materials and lack of durability. It just looked horrible after only two weeks, and who wants to take their lawn furniture and ornaments inside every night in fear they will melt and fall apart in the elements? Why do they call this outdoor furniture?

Cris Cross Fire Pit

I love this fire pit. First of all it was easy to assemble. Secondly it is big enough to stack logs, wood any way you like. Thirdly it is very sturdy and it doesn't seem flimsy like it is going to pucker or fall apart after one season of use. Fourth, I like the circle around the edge for picking it up and carrying it, or sliding it across the driveway or for propping something against the fire pit. I also like the grill rack at the bottom and the dome screen for the top. All around great price for good quality. I am pleased and would buy the same over again.
