great idea, poor execution
I love the idea of this lamp base, however, this one does not work well. The first one I ordered was an open box that did not work. I paid for a new one, which worked for a year. The USB stopped working; the plug still works after 1.5 years and so does the dimmer.
These are perfect under our lamps next to our hideaway couch.
Perfect dimmer and phone charger
Love them for my bedside lamps. USB is great for charging phones as well. Would buy again for guest rooms.

Works Well
These work great, I just wish they came in different sizes so the bases of my lamps won't slide as much.

Bronze color is more brown, but blends beautifully with bronze color in lamps. Lightweight, but comes with a round “mat” that you can place inside top part, that securely holds lamps in place. Use daily to charge phones, no issues. The extra plug in is handy.
Stylish and convenient for guest rooms!
The lamp and base are everything I was hoping they’d be for our guest room. Really convenient for plugging in accessories to charge without moving the nightstand to plug in. The dimmer is awesome and easy to operate without having to put in too much effort after you’re already in bed. The color is a little darker than the oil rubbed bronze look I was anticipating but it still ended up matching well. I’ll likely buy another lamp set for our other rooms!
Handy Device
I would have given this item five stars except one of the two I ordered came with the cover for the dimmer switch missing. A quick quality check would have alerted however packed the item as without the cover, there is a bright blue knob that contrasts very obviously with the bronze metal. Walmart did forward my concern to the Lamps Plus company who notified me that they were sending a replacement part. Waiting for that. But I had ordered one of these for my living room, and they are very handy. They are very unobtrusive as a lamp base (other than that bright blue knob!) and very convenient.
