This is the second one of these that I've ordered. We moved to a new home and I needed a light in a shed without power. This worked so well at our old home that I got another one. It's easy to install and works really well. I love the option of different brightness settings too!

Too early to give definite’s, but… I picked this up and mounted it inside of a metal 10’ x 12’ shed we just put together, with the external solar panel facing East’ish. So far it seems to be holding a charge, I am not sure if it has an overcharge protection though, or how the batteries will react to extreme heat. But so far, no small explosions from the unit, and it works every time the pull cord is used. Nice little unit so far, and doesn’t take up a whole lot of space. So far, the solar panel hasn’t been damaged by the extreme sun, wind and rain here in Colorado. Not a bad price and so far so good.

This is a nice idea, works as advertised, and was pretty easy to install. But the light is so dim. I can see my way around the shed, but it's too dark to actually do very much.

What I liked most is the long cord for placement from the change unit. The charge unit works even on cloudy days. The switch for engaging a second set of bulbs is also a good feature. Installation was very easy.

This solar battery powered light kit was exactly what I needed for my new shed. Installation was very easy, cable length is generous, and pull chain switch is convenient. I ordered two kits, as the light output is modest- not bright. I would recommend this light kit.

This was a great choice for the tree house we built for our grand children, they love it and it works great. It adds the inside look to a outside hideaway. Works well and does add a surprising amount of light, and the power is free, thanks to the sun. Need light in a area with no electricity, check this out
