I wanted to like it but my hips sink and started causing me back aches.

We got the plank mattress

We got the plank mattress after trying the aurora cooling, which was too soft for us / the structure felt like it collapsed around the edges. I was worried the plank would be too warm, but it hasn’t been. Between the extra firm and firm sides, we have chosen the firm, plus the cooling layer that is an optional add on. With a soft mattress protector it’s super comfortable. Aesthetically the plank is also more pleasing: it has a much lower profile being several inches less thick than many other “luxury” mattresses. Our bedding fits on it better, and it just looks more stylish.

So far this mattress has been what we were hoping for as far as firmness and comfort.

If you need an extra firm mattress you won't be disappointed. The flip side is firm so its like getting two beds for one.

I bought this mattress because

I bought this mattress because I wanted a firm mattress. It is very firm. However, even from the start there is a depression right in the middle of the mattress where hips go. Thankfully it doesn't extend the entire width. So I can shift a bit to avoid it. Maybe it is a manufacturing defect or gap between coils. I am not sure. I hope the quality control gets improved. People have high expectations from you. Please don't let them down.

If you are looking for a firm mattress, end your search here. The mattress is fantastic. Firmest I’ve ever experienced. The off-gassing after arrival was quicker and cleaner compared to other box mattresses I’ve had. One-star off for slow customer service. I am in CA and am still trying to get a response from them to have my old mattress hauled away, as per state law.

I had chronic back pain

I had chronic back pain and decided to change from an Avocado mattress to the firmest Plank. It offers great support and I finally sleep great. My husband and I are side sleepers and this mattress is amazingly comfortable.

Great company with the best

Great company with the best option to replace our 5th wheel king (we're full-timers). We were hoping the increase in number of springs would provide more stable support as we upgraded from the hybrid medium-firmness (after a month of falling into a hole to cuddle with my groom of 40+ years - not just the surface foam either), didn't happen and sore backs each morning still at 4 weeks on the Plank Luxe Firm side... gonna flip it to the Firmest side 😆 and hoping for the fantastic results from so many other reviews... it's a bit confusing at the moment. Maybe, make sure you have a long, heartfelt "conversation" with a sleep specialist, we wish we had done that!

I bought the camper King

I bought the camper King size after trying out wilderness RVs firm hybrid for two months and this one just seems to hold up better. I was looking for the firmest hybrid out there and this one is it. I'm pretty sure if you belly flop on it you'll knock the wind out of yourself, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I'm sleeping on the extra firm side and after a month it's starting to loosen up a little and it's just right. So far I'm happy with the mattress and glad they took making a true firm mattress serious for those of us that need it. I have to sleep on my stomach, which can put an arch in my back if my lower back sinks in and cut off circulation, this mattress keeps me nice and level and on top of the mattress. Not knocking it at all, but if you sleep on your side, your hips will feel it for a little bit as it adjusts to the firmness.

I really am pleased with

I really am pleased with the firmness of the bed and would recommend it. I do however have some caveats that are nowhere to be found in the description and I do feel that potential buyers need to be made aware of. There is no edge support. Perhaps they felt that with such a firm mattress it was not needed, but my mattress sits on a very high bed so I literally have to climb into it. When you don't have edge support, climbing into bed is much harder because the side you are trying to get up on is crushing in as you do so and simply not supporting you as you need. It is worth mentioning that I only weight 127# so it is not an issue of being too heavy on the edge. I think that they might have tried to address this by making the bed a little wider and longer than your normal Queen size bed because my previous mattress just filled the platform perfectly which allowed a few inches on each side of the bed but this one allows less than half an each on each side, and also hangs an inch off the bottom of the foundation, so it is just interesting to note. These would have been helpful things for me to know in advance, so I hope that they are helpful for other buyers. Had I been better informed, particularly about the lack of edge support, I would have rated the mattress a 5. Other than getting in and out of bed and trying to put a fitted sheet on it, it is fabulous for how I mostly interact with it, which is to sleep upon.

I’m comfortable but would have preferred even firmer but it’s the firmest you have. The only problem I have is that it slips on the platform so I worry about it maintaining shape.
