They do the job of holding my chains in place, but they need rocks around them otherwise when the wind blows hard (which is often at my house) it can cause the big loop holding it to the chain or the anchor to open up and let loose. So the metal used for the chain links is way too soft. But once we put rocks around it, that fixed our issue.

Water from gutters does not travel down the rain chain properly. A lot of water splashes on our house. I like the look of the chain, but does work as well as a downspout.

I needed something that would not block a view from my porch as the gutters only cover about 10 feet along my front porch. The rain chains are beautiful, and work wonderfully. I couldn't be happier
