Beautiful but don't touch
This is a nice looking table but the feel of the table is akin to plastic. If this is wood veneer or wood, it was finished with a pretty awful sealer. For the price, space and reason that I am using the table, I am choosing to keep. I would not want this table as my kitchen or dining room table.
Darker than appeared in photos
Beautiful table and extremely heavy - very solid. Appears more smokey black than a Dark Chestnut. Ends of table which slide out to receive leaves are actually slightly more narrow than main section of table but, for the price, this table is perfect. I wish the two counter chairs would fit below the table, in between the legs, on the long sides of this table, We purchased the bench for one side, but haven't put it together yet. There were cracks on the underside of table frame, but don't seem to cause any issues.
