It is difficult to keep level while installing. We finally figured out that we needed to install one side and then level it to drill the other holes--it'd be nice if the instructions suggested that--and/or had a template to use as they do for the towel rods. However, it is very attractive and does just what we need it to--and is much nicer looking than keeping bottles on the tub ledge.

It's always weird drilling holes in your tile. I mean so many things go through your mind ... like "Hey, I paid a small fortune to remodel this bathroom and now I'm going to crack a bunch of tiles for a $70.00 basket." Now, it's pretty hard to quiet that voice, so you might want to grab this before your remodeling project (and have your contractor install it) or look for a basket that attaches in another manner. Even still, if you can silence that naughty little (but very honest) voice, you'll have a nice little basket in your shower. Now, the chrome is not nearly as attractive as the brushed nickel. So, if you are remodeling, consider brushed nickel or the very chic Old World Bronze. The chrome is a little utilitarian. It's a nice little basket, but make sure you have the guts to install it if this is not for a remodeling project.

I agree with other reviewers that you get what you pay for with this basket. It is pricey, but you can tell--even when you just unpack the basket from its box--that it is high quality. The basket looks very nice, and it has a good weight to it. The sterling silver finish is pretty universal, but I love how it looks in our bathroom next to other Moen fixtures. The directions to install the basket in your shower (your shower must be dry wall + tile or dry wall + granite, fyi) are straightforward. If you have done even a little bit of home improvement, these steps will be familiar to you. Hardware is included; you'll just need a drill, a level, and a pencil. I like to take my time with installing or putting together anything like this. (I make my husband leave the room, because he gets so impatient with me...) I found installing this basket to be really easy, but it still took me about 30 minutes. I so love the end result! The basket is basic, but it really does look nice. You can tell it is sturdy and not some cheapo thing that will fall off in five seconds. I just really like the look of it. Moen makes a nice, user-friendly product, straight up.

Larger than I anticipated but it is a very nice shower basket. Very heavy and great quality. I am planning to hire a professional to install it as I am afraid I will mess something up. The brushed chrome matches all of my hardware in the bathroom from the shower to the sink faucets. I can only attest to the quality of this shower basket but I can't say how difficult it is to install until I have it installed. I can say that it's a very heavy duty and extremely nice shower basket. All Meon products are of a high standard of quality so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed..

This is a heavy duty chrome basket which needs to be permanently installed into a shower via screws. You will need your own tools (drill, screwdriver) but all of the parts for the basket are included int he box. The basket is deep and should keep a variety of items secure, even if they are quite tall. Though it seems mostly designed for soap, you can put bottles of shampoo or conditioner in it as well and the lip is high enough to hold such items.Installing the basket is not difficult, but it does require you to permanently alter your masonry. If you are a renter, this is not a good option as there is no option to install it in any other manner other than drilling and securing it with screws. This is the kind of option that one chooses when one is remodeling the bathroom in their private home and it is quite beautiful with smooth finishes including the round capes and metallic cones on the anchoring points. I just wish that it was easier/faster to remove and replace for more deep cleanings around the fittings. That being said, the type of installation means you can put heavier items in it than the standard tension-style baskets that are cheaper, easier to install, and less permanent.

This is very nice corner shower basket that looks great and seems very durable. The corner sides measure 6" with 9" of space at the widest point. It is 2" deep. That is big enough to hold 4 or 5 average-sized bottles of shampoo. A drill and hex wrench is required for installation. It requires a 3 1/2" space behind the wall and works in 1/2" or 5/8" dry wall with tile OR 1/2" or 5/8" dry wall with marble. Of course you would need to check and make sure there are no electrical lines or obstructions on the other side of the wall.

The chrome finish is very attractive. Not too glossy. Just looks really nice. If you want a quality shower shelf / basket that will look great and last a long time, you'll like this unit. In our experience it is worth spending a little more, especially in the shower where cheap baskets just rust.
