Disappointed

This pedal bin in my opinion is not fit for purpose, every time you press the pedal the bin moves across the floor. The silent close lid ultimately hits the wall and sounds like a symbol. This is denting the lid and it is very annoying to have to constantly reposition the bin. I have taken to standing it on a non-slip mat, not a good look in my kitchen. I would not expect this from such an expensive pedal bin. It's ok if you have carpet in your kitchen but otherwise I would not recommend it.

Pedal bin

Excellent quality, decent size with smooth pedal action and slow release lid mechanism. Quick and easy to remove full bag. I like the brushed aluminium aesthetic.

Beautiful bin!

Simplehuman bins are great quality - I use this bin for dry waste in my utility room. My Simplehuman kitchen bin is still in great condition after several years' use.

Perfect bin!

This is the second Simple Human bin I have bought and the first one lasted 8 years so they're well worth the money! They clean up really well and the brushed steel means no messy finger marks. Looks really sleek and inoffensive in the kitchen and holds plenty of rubbish. I also buy the Simple Human bin bags (G for this 30L bin) because they are really strong and I haven't had one break on me yet! Simple Human, simply perfect!

No touch disposal, lid is dampened for quite closure, included trash bags have excellent fit.

Money well spent

Although this bin was more expensive than most when comparing it to my last bin you can certainly tell where the money has been spent. It is much more robust and well built and the little design touches aren’t just for show they are practical too!

Lovely Bin

Bought this for kitchen. Excellent quality. Great quiet closing. Bin liners easy to remove. Good looking bin. Worth every penny. Got it while offer on. Would definitely recommend.

Round 30L trash can

It suppose to be slow, silent close, but it's not, it's give steel loud sound at the time it's close. Tried to locate my round 30L trash can on the web side, and it's not there anymore. I bought this can a week ago 4/5/24.

Trashcan works well and looks good. Easy to keep clean. Standard bags work ok but not perfectly (they tend to stick out). Trashcan slides around a bit when you push the pedal down.

Lid opens and closes easy and at a good pace

Great for protection against dogs and kids. Trash does smell when the lid is closed. Lid closes at a slower pace.

Lasts a very long time

I bought this same can in a different color over 13 years ago and it’s still going strong. It’s probably the most durable garbage can I have ever seen. Never wanted anything that opens with gimmicky hand gestures since a simple foot press works just as good. I bought this can back in 2011 and it looks just as good today as it did when I bought it. Deserves 10 stars. Looking to purchase another for a different part of the house and am very glad the same can is still available.

Much better bin than the 6litre one I’ve reviewed recently. function to lift the lid to 90 degrees and keep it there and also the bin park function which lets you lift then plastic inner bin up a couple of inches to change the bag are good. The plastic bin section has holes in it which helps reduce condensation build up inside the bin and also aids removal of the bin bag when full. Soft close lid is a bit jerky in its movement though. We got about 23 years from our last non-branded bin - hopefully this lasts as long!

This a bin that feels good. It works. Just the right height easy pedal and soft close . Not the cheapest but we have what we paid for. We like it

Looks smart. Doesnt clang when lid opening if you make sure you use foot pedal to open. Then works as soft opening/closing.

SimpleHuman items

We have purchased several items (sensor mirror, garbage can, soap dispenser, plunger, toilet brush and dish rack) from SimpleHuman and we have found each item is of exceptional quality. The only downside is that some of their items are made in China. However, I have not had a problem with any item.
