Fragile Plastic Nut Ring

I ordered this sink because it's 9" deep and the lift-out drainer basket. I was so happy to have it installed. After a month, one day I found out a big puddle of water in the cabinet under the sink. It ruined everything in the cabinet. After carefully checking, I found out it was caused by the broken plastic nut ring. I was so disappointed, the nut ring is so fragile. I tried to replace the plastic nut ring with a metal one, but the thread wouldn't fit. The only solution is that I have to replace the whole drainer set which I love.

I bought this sink as a replacement for a porcelain sink so that i could put it in myself. I appreciated that the sink could be lifted easily in and out several times from the existing hole that needed to be trimmed. The quality of the 18 gauge, I had read, is a better quality than the 20 or 22 gauge and won’t tend to dent as easily. It is sturdy, deep and looks nice. To make it easy, I didn’t bother to get a rack or mat for the bottom and just clean it with a little dish detergent and paper towel. Very satisfied with this product.

It is a huge sink. But the directions are lacking. The hole that has to be cut in the counter was almost as deep as the counter itself.
