Wire to the led lights was broken, not realized until unit was nearly completely installed. Replacement parts are not available to would have had to disassemble and return entire unit. Was able to repair the wire in the field but who knows how long it will hold up. Overall quality is very cheap and directions are very vague

[Rewarded Review] Nice, but not installation friendly for most DIY'ers

I selected the BEW 2-Jet Rainfall Shower Panel System thinking it would be a good way to upgrade existing showers. The concept of a shower panel system is a great idea and something I wanted to try on my Cabin and / or RV shower, before trying on my Home. After opening the packaging, I quickly discovered a few interesting things: 1, The power to run the LED's and temp/ timer display is generated by the water flowing. 2, The panel looks great! 3, For retrofit applications, the existing shower /tub wall valves would need to be removed and supply line connections to the existing water supply lines. The lines would need to fit through the existing hole(s)for the shower valve(s). Any valve openings over 8.5" side to side will not be covered up by the shower panel. In my RV, the shower controls were on 4" centers so the panel will covered it well, but not my cabin tile shower with > 8" center valves. While the shower panel looks really nice and has a lot of functionality, the instructions included are not helpful (almost worthless) and don't provide any dimensions or details for installation or operation. I went online for instructions and pulled the listed instructions on the HD website, however, the listed instructions were not for this unit? While I'm sure this shower panel would work great once installed, it is not for every application or DIY'er. Without specific instructions and dimensions for mounting, along with need to have knowledge of plumbing techniques to properly connect the supply lines to existing shower/ tub, this could be a very frustrating and costly surprise installation. I don't recommend this shower panel for the average DIY'er retrofit of an existing shower, but do recommend it for new or total shower remodels. The manufacturer needs to provide and include much more specific detailed installation instructions for this shower panel in order for it to be DIY'er friendly.

It really is a cool concept that looks really cool. The finish is attractive and the controls are easy to operate. The 2 shelves are a great feature. To start, I can't figure out where to insert the batteries. I even looked at the documents on HD's website and there's nothing. I see where they go but no idea how to open that box and I don't even know if they are inserted from the front or the back of the panel. I would hope it's from the front or I would have to take the panel off the wall every time the batteries need replacing. I'm also concerned that it might scratch the surface of my tiles while installing it. The handheld shower is extremely lightweight and it's selector switch feels stiff and easy to break. It's not just low end, hard plastic, it doesn't even feel good in my hand. I had high hopes for this but it really disappointed me. I really can't recommend this shower panel.

[Rewarded Review] All in one shower panel

I wasn't sure about this item until after I received it and was able to check it out further. The panel already has everything you need on it and after assembling the top panel you basically attach it to the hot and cold water and hang it on the wall. Simply set the temperature knob and turn the other knob to the proper feature you want to shower you. Normally all the works are inside the wall and the installer is placing supports in the wall for mixing valve, tub and shower mounts. With this unit only a hot and cold supply line is necessary. I think it eliminates a whole lot of work. If something goes wrong with a valve or head you don't have to tear out the wall for repairs. That is never cheap or easy. I believe this is a smart advantage over having all components in the wall!

[Rewarded Review] Good shower makeover

The BWE 2 jet shower panel has a nice design and finished look. The panel itself is well designed with everything having easy access in the back side. The connections are easy with the hard part being any modifications you might need to make to your existing shower/tub setup. This panel has a display as well as LED lights. The top spray or rainfall is nice and so are the two body sprays. The tub fill is just a slotted opening like a waterfall fill. The shelves and hand sprayer is good also.
