Excellent baseboard heat more efficient than my old one

I bought this Cadet baseboard heater to replace my 30-40 year old (that's my estimate since it is left from the previous owner of the house) one, which was rusted and created some big noises at night. The Cadet heater is much lighter than the old one, and more quickly raising the temperature. I can feel the heat almost instantly, the one would take at least 5-10 minutes. The white paint is very neat and matches the wall. It's made in USA. I am very happy about Cadet baseboard heater and want to recommend this to everyone.

Replaced the living room floor board heater with this model. Thinking it was bad, from the granddaughter melting crayons on it. Since I had 120 on both legs and no heat. Replaced, still no heat, turned out it was the thermostat. When the heater turned on for the first time it did have the new smell for a bit. It worked very well, and looks alot better than the crayon color art my GD created.

Inadequate heat source

After hiring an elctrical contractor to install this baseboard heater, as well as a smaller 30 inch for bathroom to supplement, these did not perform like others purchased two years ago. Total space was 184 sq. Feet and the two combined still failed to adequately heat. Total loss!

Came assembled with excellent safety tips and very easy to follow instructions. Took me about 20 mins to remove the old baseboard heater and install the new one. Works great my second Cadet replacement electric baseboard heater works like a dream!!!

Installation went smoothly, But

I wish manufacturers would find a way to reduce the odor when you turned it on as per instructions in the manual. Having to turned it on for at least half an hour or more to reach a temperature that feels comfortable is a bit cumbersome. The thermostat should operate like any other without having to go all the way high to then go down until you hear the click. I wonder how people with hearing issues handle this quirky step.

Heater works well once installed.

The heater was a replacement for one that was all rusted. Overall the installation was easy I just wish there were more mounting holes. The old one had holes every 4 inches and lined up with the wall studs. On the new one I had to drill mounting holes as the new holes did not line up with existing studs.

Almost DIY friendly

Not the most appealing purchase, but functionally, it works great. It’s as quiet as it suggests, but not silent like I hoped. None of the hardware is included either. You’ll need your own mounting and electrical equipment. The instructions are pretty simple to follow. I highly recommend hiring a professional if you don’t understand basic electrical wiring.

Very good electric base board heater. Simple to install, but.... the written instructions and the instructional video online tell you two different ways to wire it. I emailed the company, and they said either way would work. The company should make the video(s) and written instructions the same.

The heaters were excellent, but having them installed was not easy because I bought the Cadet Double-Pole 22 Amp 120-Volt/240-Volt Wall-Mount Mechanical Non-programmable Thermostat to go with them, and it seems there is a problem hooking them up using this thermostat, if you have two side by side on a long wall or connected going around a corner, or both. It’s not that I didn’t hire an electrician to install them, but I would suggest that you really need to hire someone who knows what they are doing with baseboard heating. In the end I guess they are working properly and they look good.

Great item

This is a great item with easy instructions to follow. Any person can install it. The only thing one needs to keep in mind is that it produces a smell of paint burning for a while after itis turned on. This is normal and a door or window may need to be kept open for ventilation. Good product overall.

Average quality

We had our baseboard heater installed a few days ago. The item came with a small dent on the front but because it was a 3rd party order and the situation with Covid we decided not to return it. I expected that the heater would be very quiet since it was recommended but I have to say that I am disappointed. We replaced a heater that was quite noisy but this one makes some ticking noises too. Being 72 inches long it does give off a lot of heat at a time. Not sure if I would recommend this product.

I replaced a 70's vintage heater with this one. Overall weight and steel gauge decreased. I hope the efficiency increased. Wiring instructions covered all scenarios and easy to understand. The paint quality is good and the heater has a modern, streamlined look.

great for landlords to separate utilities

I am a land lord, andninused these to separate utilities whenthe centeal furnace died. I have not had any problems in the past 8yrs. I used with the honeywell programable tbermostat. I also installed them above the baseboard trim to avoid damage from kicks and vacuum cleaners. I will be renovating another building and plan tonuse them again

Easy install. Most difficult part, by far, was snaking cable to attic space from basement. Once that was done, cut baseboard, mount to wall and connect wiring. Total time for install was approximately 2 hours. Oh, and it does a great job heating the space.

This product was dented in several spots. I needed a heater right away and could not wait to return it and then wait another week to receive a new one. So I installed it anyway. It also is not quiet. I have bought cheaper baseboard heaters in the past which was in better shape and did not make noise when the element was heating up. Was not worth the price.

We have replaced one of our old baseboard heaters with this new one. It totally exceeded my expectations. It is extremely quiet while running. My old heater used to make crackling sounds when it came on. This one makes no noise at all. It is wonderful. I highly recommend this heater either as a new one or a replacement. As I need to replace my baseboard heaters, I will be replacing them with this one. Thank you for a great product.

I installed this myself replacing an older version. It was relatively easy. It did have a small dent but didn't matter to me. It was for my bedroom. Lets out heat nicely and was reasonable price. What else could you want? I just need to paint around where the old one was. :)
